October 26,2012 Leslie my wild Scotsman and I got married on the beach. He promised me he’d love me for the rest of his life. We didn’t know it was going to be only 8 years he would have left. Until his last breath he gave me his heart. I loved him with all of mine. It’s a difficult day for me. It’s mixed with gratitude and sadness. There is some guilt because I began a life with Sascha in 2024. I know it’s not easy being married to a widow and I am grateful for Sascha’s patience with me through this. I also know that Leslie wouldn’t want me to be alone for the rest of my life because I was young when he crossed over. I know many widows and widowers must struggle for a bit with carrying on relationships. I always talk about being authentic on here and today, I’m sharing this with an open heart that’s broken and still trying to heal. I still feel Leslie with me. He guides me in spirit. I actually met him on here sharing poetry. I believe there’s quite a few friends that I met on here that would remember. I’m grateful for all that Leslie brought to my life and my children’s lives the day he got off that plane that flew across an ocean from Edinburgh. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I miss him dearly.
