It may be worth noting that what appears to be the first "definitive" English edition of Dolnstein's diary is due to be released March 2027. I don't know all the places it will be available, but it appears you'll at least be able to order it here:

⚔️Paul Dolnstein was a 15th/early 16th Century Landsknechte from Saxony whose “diary” survives to this day. He filled the diary with his own illustrations and first hand accounts(see pictures below) of battle from his POV!
Here is an excerpt along with illustrations that he wrote/drew:
“We were 1800 Germans and we were attacked by 15,000 Swedish farmers. God gaev us victory and we struck most of them dead. We were all wearing breast and back plates, skullcaps and arm defences, and they had crossbows and good pikes made from swords. Afterwards, the King of Denmark knighted us all and id us great honour and paid us well and let us return over the sea in 1503. I, Paul Dolnstein was there and Sir Sigmund List was our Obrist”.
If you're reading this and feeling down, you should go listen to some Tom Petty. I recommend "Learning to Fly", but anything will do, really.

I saw a film about the Red Baron a while back that really tried to humanize him, separate the man from the myth type of thing. It wasn't a documentary, just one of those historical "based-on" type of films. I found out later that the movie really wound up downplaying some very real accomplishments and perspectives on Manfred von Richthofen. Much like Audie Murphy later expressed concern over during his own biographical film, it almost seemed like the filmmakers thought telling the true story would be too unbelievable.
This piece is AI generated; Don't care, still a banger.

One benefit I have when I stsrt trying to work out regularly is that I built my strength early and thoroughly. Not that I was ever at an elite level, but the fact that I can come back after years of not lifting and still hit single arm curls with 50 lbs. for three sets of five is pretty motivating to me. I've never had to watch my bench dip below 200 or my deadlifts under three plates.
Again, nothing super impressive, but at 5'9 my lowest point is about average for someone who's been in the gym consistently for a year.
Your program is absolute shit, literally causing the problem it's meant to mitigate by crashing my fucking system by constsntly trying to back shit up. I cant even open the fucking settings cause you dumb fucks made it spaz out when there's not enough space.
Fuck you, dipshits.
@onedrive
Just dropped my daughter off at a friend's house for their birthday. When we got in the car to leave I noticed she had a gift box that I hadn't bought with her and asked what was in it, knowing she likes to make things out of beads for her friends.
People... I was not ready for the "snake" she had conjured up.
Everyone's on here talking about these major life accomplishments and I'm just happy I got my fucking office area organized after letting it go to shit while I finished college.
Still needs aome touch ups but man I do dig the general esthetic. Space feels very personal for me now.
RIP Ms. Parton
Not gonna act like I was a big fan or anything personally, but on the evening of her passing, I thought it was worth noting that this American icon was a lifelong supporter of the U.S. military, working closely with the USO to provide entertainment for troops abroad, and even had her likeness adorned by a KC-135 Stratotanker owned by the 134th Air Refueling Wing of the Tennessee Air National Guard during the Gulf War.
Here's to a lady who knew how to balance class and charisma into something truly unique, never afraid to flaunt her talent and beauty, but always gracious and humble for her fans and fame.

Drummer James Roddick, of the 92nd Highlanders, defending Lieutenant Menzies in Kandahar (1880)
Rushing in headlong to protect his wounded senior officer, Roddick called out:
"You're all right sir, as long as this blade lasts."
He then cut down the attackers and after reinforcements arrived Lieutenant Menzies was escorted to safety.
Roddick was later awarded a Distinguished Conduct Medal for his bravery.
The Battle of Megiddo, the namesake from which the word "Armageddon" is derived; Appropriately enough, possibly the first battle in written history. Fought around 1457 B.C., it was a major Egyptian operation led by Pharaoh Thutmose III against a Canaanite coalition commanded by the King of Kadesh. The campaign culminated in an Egyptian victory that reestablished control over the region and demonstrated effective use of maneuver, surprise, and concentration of combat power.
The key tactical decision came during the Egyptian advance toward Megiddo. Three avenues of approach crossed the Carmel ridge, but Thutmose selected the narrow Aruna Pass, effectively choosing the most direct but highest-risk route. His commanders preferred the wider northern and southern approaches because the pass forced the army into a long, vulnerable column and created a potential choke point. Thutmose accepted that risk in exchange for operational surprise.
The Canaanite coalition appears to have oriented its defenses toward the more predictable approaches, allowing the Egyptian force to emerge from the pass with limited resistance (We might use D-Day during WW2 as a modern cognate, where the Germans anticipated an Allied invasion of the Pas-de-Calais region, only to be surprised at the much less obvious choice of Normandy, with the Allies having selected a more difficult approach for the benefit of surprising a more lightly defended coastline). Once through, Thutmose rapidly transitioned from movement into battle formation near the Kina Brook. He positioned himself and his chariot force in the center while deploying infantry across the flanks, creating a broad assault line.
The Egyptians then conducted a frontal attack that broke the Canaanite defensive formation and forced a disorderly withdrawal into Megiddo. However, Egyptian troops halted to exploit and loot the enemy camp rather than maintain pursuit, allowing much of the opposing force to reach the city. This failure to maintain momentum turned an immediate tactical victory into a prolonged siege.
