Foolish parents: "my kids too good for a trade school, beneath us, what good will ever come from that?"
My Trade School kid home on brief medical leave, unsolicited: "hey you know I'm certified in pressure washing now so I can pressure wash the house while I'm home for you..."

"What really got me was Scots talking so positively about tailgating. I’d never thought of that as an American thing, but when you see it through new eyes it really is a fascinating thing. Parties before games where food is often offered to complete strangers including people rooting for the opposing team"

This 1679 “Sabionari” Stradivarius is the only playable guitar by Antonio Stradivari left in this world.🤗
So take just a moment to hear a sound that’s well over 300 years old!👇❤️🔥

BREAKING: Japan Approves World’s First iPSC Stem Cell Therapy for Parkinson’s Disease.
This is not a drill. This is history. Japan’s Health Ministry has officially approved two iPS cell therapies: Amchepry for Parkinson’s and ReHeart for severe heart failure. Based on Nobel Prize-winning research, these treatments use reprogrammed stem cells to regenerate damaged dopamine neurons in the brain. Seven patients were treated. Four showed significant improvement. No major side effects. Available to patients by summer 2026. 10 million people worldwide have Parkinson’s. The cure is no longer theoretical.
Perfection @PlacidoDomingo
Join us for a glimpse of @PlacidoDomingo 's recital in Copenhagen, "A life in music and song" accompanied by soprano Christina Poulitsi and pianist James Vaughan. From an imposing aria from "Andrea Chenier" to the zarzuela he has made as popular in Denmark as all over the world, Domingo showed once more that he is made of music. During his trademark romanza "No puede ser" he turned round to sing directly to that part of the audience sitting behind the stage, a mark of his appreciation for his public. On the way out people were humming the tune of the Broadway song "Some enchanted evening" they had just heard. And charming as ever, Domingo threw his bouquet to a delighted spectator. The evening was as much a celebration of his life in music and song as his place in the hearts of the public everywhere. Bravi!
Almost unreal! @pictureboston

You’ve smelled this your entire life and it was never the rain.
The smell of rain isn’t rain. It’s a molecule called geosmin, produced by soil bacteria. Humans can detect it at just 5 parts per trillion, thousands of times more sensitive than most smells.
When raindrops hit dry soil, they launch microscopic aerosols carrying geosmin into the air, like invisible champagne bubbles.
Scientists think this sensitivity helped early humans find water.
Even camels use it to navigate deserts from miles away.
That “earth after rain” smell is survival, written in chemistry.
