In recent years, seniors have increasingly become targets of financial abuse and scams, including schemes involving cryptocurrency kiosks. I am a co-sponsor of AB 968 and voted in support of the bill last night, which would establish strong guardrails to help protect Wisconsinites from crypto kiosk fraud. I want to thank @RepSnyder85 for leading this initiative and the Wood County Sheriff and Marathon County Sheriff for their work in our community.

In just two months, school resource officers have prevented *multiple* threats of gun violence in MPS hallways.
Democrats fought tooth and nail to keep SROs out of Milwaukee schools, saying that police don’t belong in the schools.
The reality is their presence is saving lives
There is ample evidence that requiring Milwaukee Public Schools to have a police presence/SRO has saved student lives, yet Democrats want to remove parts of Act 12 that maintain the city’s police staffing levels. Shameful and dangerous.

HALE INTERCHANGE UPDATE: This weekend, WisDOT will be reopening all the system ramps in the Hale Interchange. The westbound to southbound ramp will reopen tonight (11/7) and the northbound to eastbound ramp will reopen Sunday night (11/9).

More solid proof as to why banning cell phones in schools should be common-sense. This is why Assembly Republicans authored & passed this in February with the Senate passing it last week.
New evidence on the effect of cell phone bans in schools just dropped.
"Enforcement of cellphone bans in schools led to a significant increase in student suspensions in the short-term ... but disciplinary actions began to dissipate after the first year, potentially suggesting a new steady state after an initial adjustment period."
"We find significant improvements in student test scores in the second year of the ban after that initial adjustment period."

Horrific. Instead of making excuses and hiding records, they should take responsibility and focus on stopping this revolving door of sexual abusers from entering and remaining in our schools. Protecting kids instead of sexual abusers should be common sense.
