Year 1 of the Working Families Tax Cuts means real relief for hardworking Americans.
I laid it all out in my latest op-ed- take a look 👉

Wisconsin residents affected by the July 27 storms and tornadoes should be aware of potential fraud and scams when applying for disaster assistance.
Scammers may pose as FEMA inspectors or government officials to obtain personal information or money. FEMA and other government disaster assistance workers will never charge for their services, and FEMA inspectors do not request banking information.
If you receive a FEMA letter or an inspector visits your home but you did not apply for assistance, contact the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362 to report the issue. Residents who suspect fraud should also contact their local law enforcement agency.

Rural communities face unique challenges when it comes to accessing quality healthcare.
That’s why the Working Families Tax Cuts Act established a $50 billion Rural Health Transformation Program to help states improve access to care, strengthen rural hospitals, recruit healthcare workers, and bring new technologies to rural communities.
This is a major investment in rural America and the people who call it home.
Our veterans have sacrificed to serve our country, and they deserve timely access to the benefits they earned through that service.
In FY 2026, the VA processed more disability claims than ever before, helping more veterans receive the assistance they need.
Every veteran deserves to have their claims handled as efficiently as possible.

Small businesses create jobs, invest in their communities, and keep our local economies moving.
Making the 20 percent small business deduction permanent and doubling the limit on immediate expensing will give small business owners more room to invest, hire, and grow.
That means more opportunity for small businesses and workers right here in Wisconsin.
America must be prepared to defend our homeland from increasingly advanced missile threats.
The Working Families Tax Cuts Act provides $24.4 billion for Golden Dome for America, including investments in space-based sensors, missile interceptors, hypersonic missile defense, satellite systems, and upgraded ground-based radar.
Strong defenses are essential to keeping the American people safe and deterring those who would threaten us
If you were affected by the storms in July, please contact FEMA to request aid. If you need assistance in doing this, please call my office. We are ready to help.
The Sheboygan Marsh is one of the most beautiful and pristine parts of Wisconsin. I joined @DucksUnlimited this week to see how their conservation efforts are helping to keep it that way and how I can continue to work in Congress to ensure federal dollars are being spent wisely to keep our vital natural resources and environment safe and clean for everyone to enjoy.
It was great to visit DSG Supply in Sheboygan and learn more about their employee-owned business, their operations, and the important role they play in supplying the products and services that help keep businesses and communities moving forward.
Every child deserves the opportunity to build a strong financial future.
Trump Accounts give American children a $1,000 head start that can grow over time through investments in broad U.S. stock indexes.
At 18, those savings can help pay for college, start a business, or purchase a first home.
This is an investment in the next generation and the American Dream.
St. Katherine Drexel School's 8th graders hosted a wonderful event to support the school earlier this month. It's great to see young people engaging in community events and ensuring their schools remain strong đź’Ş
I enjoyed meeting with the Institute of Internal Auditors’ Fox Valley Chapter to discuss data privacy, AI risks, and strengthening internal oversight of artificial intelligence. As AI becomes more widespread, strong oversight, clear standards, and protecting Americans’ personal information are essential to managing emerging risks and ensuring responsible innovation.
This October, we celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
Wisconsin is stronger when individuals with disabilities have the opportunity to contribute their talents, build independence, and succeed in the workplace of their choice. Thank you to the Wisconsin employers and organizations working to expand employment opportunities and ensure individuals with disabilities can contribute to their communities and achieve their full potential.
America has enormous energy resources right here at home. We should use them.
The Trump Administration is opening federal lands to responsible oil and gas production after years of unnecessary restrictions. Developing these resources will strengthen our energy security, support American jobs, and reduce our reliance on foreign energy.
American naval power is critical to protecting our nation and maintaining peace around the world.
The Working Families Tax Cuts Act invests $32.6 billion in shipbuilding, including a second Virginia-class submarine, two additional guided missile destroyers, amphibious ships, oilers, and unmanned surface and underwater vessels.
We need a Navy capable of meeting the challenges of the 21st century.
The firefighters in the Town of Algoma cooked pancakes themselves for this year's fundraiser to support the station. They're keeping their community fed and safe!
I was happy to support the FDL United Church of Christ at their Swiss Steak Dinner earlier this month.
The brave men and women of Customs and Border Protection put themselves on the line every day to protect our country.
The Working Families Tax Cut provides nearly $12 billion for CBP, including funding to hire and train additional agents, retention bonuses, new vehicles, and improved facilities and checkpoints.
We need to give our border agents the resources and support they deserve.
Haven is a small community in Sheboygan County. I enjoyed speaking with residents and the firefighters who keep them safe at their brat fry last weekend.
I was glad to join the Oshkosh Chamber this morning to give a legislative update on the work we have accomplished in Washington to reduce taxes for working Americans, protect citizens from spikes in energy costs, and bring more good-paying jobs back to Wisconsin.
Today, we celebrate Columbus Day and remember Christopher Columbus’s historic voyage across the Atlantic in 1492. His journey brought the Old and New Worlds into greater contact and set in motion changes that would shape world history for centuries to come.
I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Columbus Day with family and friends!
