As an Indiana cattleman myself, I am not surprised by President Trump’s decision to import thousands of tons of beef into our country to lower prices at the meat counter.
Let me be clear, there is no substitute for American beef, on American store shelves, from American beef farmers.
I am also sympathetic to the needs of Hoosiers who are struggling to pay higher food costs brought on by the Biden administration. While I don’t like the means the President had to choose, I do agree that the move is justified if it ends with Americans seeing lower prices in the grocery store immediately.
The real issue is the lack of a long term plan that has been stuck in Congress! Passing country of origin labeling, more support for local and regional processing facilities and USDA low interest loans for farmers who increase herd size would all support producers in order to grow their herds to a sustainable level, and increased competition on the market so prices can drop in the long run.
This should be seen as a temporary fix so Congress can pass long overdue reforms so American farmers can rebuild the greatest beef herd in the world. After all, U.S. farmers never were good at being panicans anyway.
The @WNBA should be about BASKETBALL, not promoting woke ideaology.
Europe has already shown us what will happen to women’s sports if trans players are eligible to join.
It is ridiculous that the WNBA still can’t define what a woman is.
Seems like league eligibility is determined by the whims of the @WNBA Commissioner, and not by any objective definition.

Dan reacts to the breaking news that the WNBA suddenly knows the difference between men and women—at least when it comes to blocking two former NBA players from entering the draft. In an October 16 letter obtained by OutKick, WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert responded to a congressional inquiry led by Rep. Marlin Stutzman (R-Ind.) and four other House Republicans. Engelbert declared that Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White are ineligible for the WNBA Draft because they are "both men". However, when lawmakers specifically asked how the league defines "women" under Article XIII, Section 1(a) of the collective bargaining agreement—which states that "only players who are women are eligible to play in the WNBA"—Engelbert completely dodged the question and failed to provide a definition. @dandakich youtube.com/watch?v=IIwcQKCX…

I trust he is making the right decisions to bring an end to the war.

How exactly did the @WNBA verify their declaration that @EnesFreedom and @Highway_30 are “both men”?
@RepStutzman joins me tomorrow morning to discuss. @AFRnet
🚨🚨In a reply to my letter to the WNBA about @Enesfreedom and @Highway_30’s eligibility, the @WNBA declared they are “both men”.
This is their clear acknowledgment that simply identifying as a woman does not change basic human biology!

The WNBA leadership is pathetic.
"Only women are eligible to play in the WNBA and the individuals you cite in your letter are both men."
WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert is declaring former NBA players Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White ineligible after they announced plans to enter the 2027 draft while claiming to identify as women.
The two are challenging the league's transgender eligibility rules, prompting five House Republicans to demand clarification on who qualifies to compete.
But Engelbert's response leaves out the definition of "women" that lawmakers specifically requested. | @Outkick

The @WNBA can’t define woman but knows what men are? Unacceptable.
This ignorant and anti-American league either needs to be investigated or sued because clearly they are incapable of coherently defining their own bylaws or carrying out any form of self-governance.

So that means that they have a definition for what a woman is right? What is that definition? We want to see the written definition according to the WNBA.

🇺🇸 The WNBA has apparently told Congress that former NBA players Enes Kanter Freedom (she/her) and Royce White cannot enter its draft because THEY'RE MEN
Both had reportedly claimed to identify AS WOMEN
When lawmakers asked WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert to DEFINE A WOMAN, she DECLINED to give a definition, saying only women can play.
Two former NBA players have somehow turned a basketball eligibility dispute into a congressional debate over what a woman is. 😂

WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert has caused more confusion by telling Congress that Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White are “both men” and therefore ineligible for the league. In her letter, dated October 16 and released Monday, she refused to supply the definition of “woman” that lawmakers asked for. This lack of clarity is hurting the WNBA. It’s the usual conundrum leftists create: they establish a measurement without revealing how they measure. They dance around the truth because they’re afraid of it. That fear is alienating both men and women who might otherwise watch the WNBA.
Engelbert answered a September inquiry from Rep. Marlin Stutzman and four other House Republicans. Freedom and White had announced they would enter the 2027 WNBA Draft while stating they identify as women. Engelbert wrote that “only women are eligible to play in the WNBA and the individuals you cite in your letter are both men.” No further standard was given.
This is the same league that has called transgender eligibility complex and nuanced and that has never published a clear biological definition for its women’s category. When the question was whether biological males who identify as women could play, the league treated the answer as unsettled. When those same biological males forced the issue by declaring for the draft, the commissioner had no difficulty classifying them as men.
The inconsistency is the point Freedom has pressed. A league that will not define the category it claims to protect cannot consistently enforce who belongs in it. Engelbert’s letter shows the league can identify men when it wants to exclude them. It has not shown the same willingness to define the women the league is supposed to serve.
Women’s sports require clear, enforceable categories. Refusing to define the category while selectively applying it creates exactly the confusion and selective enforcement Freedom has highlighted. Engelbert’s letter makes that selective standard public. The WNBA still has not explained the rule it just applied.

🚨 IT'S OFFICIAL: After MONTHS of deliberations, WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert and her team STILL can't define "woman" — but the league is now BLOCKING Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White from competing, because they're "men"
She wrote that "only women are eligible to play in the WNBA and the individuals you cite in your letter are both men"
So she can spot a man just fine. She just can't put the definition of a woman on paper! 😭
Kanter Freedom nailed it: "Cathy Engelbert cannot clearly define what a woman is, but she's absolutely certain that I'm a man." 💯

You really cannot make this stuff up.
Congress asked WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert to define what a woman is under the league's eligibility rules.
Her response? Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White are both men.
Well, Cathy, that wasn't the question.
The WNBA still hasn't explained the actual criteria it uses to determine who qualifies to compete in women's professional basketball.
All we know now is that Enes and Royce are not women.
We are still waiting for Cathy Englebert and the WNBA to educate us on what actually is a woman.
