Some hosts trade against a token, not SOL. Say a coin quoted in DOGE. Its SOL value is read in two steps: the coin in DOGE from its own pool, times DOGE in SOL from a DOGE/SOL pool. That second pool is fixed at registration and must itself hold at least as much SOL as a host needs. A pool with no active liquidity counts as too thin.
