I miss the days when antique furniture was a thing. Maybe it still is but not like it was in the 80’s and 90’s. We have an antique spice cabinet from Germany that we us for storing bath towels and extra household items. We call it The General Store.

The day we demoed my parents cabin. We retained the original footprint and raised the basement two feet. We also retained the beautiful fireplace. I’ll post some pictures of the transition over the years

53 years ago I was officially out of active duty in the Army. They actually let me out on October 13th because they didn’t want to work the weekend. I came home and my youngest brother (and sibling) was born the day I got home.

Our neighbors in Florida help monitor our Air Conditioning in the summer. We keep it at 80 degrees. When we get home they say they can tell because there’s frost on the windows in the morning. I crank the AirCon down to 68 degrees at night.
