there's a pattern that every attempt at remaking garten of banban invariably follows; that is, failing at it in a comical fashion, equivalent to stepping on a garden rake or slipping on a banana peel. what do you mean remaking banban wound up costing you $100 in a scam?

The game isn't 100% flawless - there's a small bit of jank with certain mechanics (it's their first game though so that's forgivable), a good helping of bugs primarily with enemy AIs, and the final Chapter can feel like it's dragging its feet a little bit by the end

A thing I love about the mystery is that the answer is never 100% spelled out to you - but the clues combined with the incredible environmental storytelling make piecing together what happened satisfying, and by the end, it's rather obvious without a direct confirmation

So many of these games struggle to introduce, iterate, and build upon their mechanics as well as add new and fresh mechanics that can co-exist with the existing ones. Terrible Lizards avoids that failure completely.

Finished TL. Masterclass of this genre, extremely fun gameplay, surprisingly well-written story with strong emotional beats, a gripping mystery that feels satisfying to put together, and quite possibly some of the strongest overall game design I've seen in a mascot horror
