TO BE CLEAR....I am a DC fan FIRST. That has nothing to do with Snyder. That had nothing to do with James Gunn. It just so happens that WB has always owned the DC IP. I know what I like and what I don't about film, entertainment & DC. It just so happens Snyder, Nolan and the writers of the first 4 years of the DCEU wrote some incredible stories and brought DC characters to life. They took it seriously. The studio had other plans and backstabbed all of those fans of that universe and those stories and brought Gunn in to take control of DC. Gunn is for 15 year olds. He writes like a degenerate and it shows in everything he does. He completely disrespects DC characters. I will never be HAPPY about that and I don't have to accept it. I will still cover DC moving forward. That bothers some. TOO BAD!! I don't just stop because I don't like the content. You don't like it then move on.

Doh!
Watching ‘Clayface’ Is Like Eating Play-Doh A classic shapeshifting Batman villain gets the body-horror treatment. You get the shaft. REVIEW: rollingstone.com/tv-movies/t…

Clayface had Mike Flanagan writing, a killer cast, and a genuinely creepy premise. So why does it feel like a 'horror train wreck'? The short answer: it's more Morbius than Joker.

🤣🤣The Robocop part had me in tears. So freaking funny.
BREAKING. The lost tape from James Cameron's 1984 Terminator auditions just leaked. You won't believe the last 2 who walk in.

I can't state enough that if Grace Randolph is the voice of reason, somebody dun fucked up. #Clayface

CLAYFACE is an absolute mess of a film, blessed with poor FX and some good performances for an awful clunker of a script. Based on this, DC is in trouble. #clayface review darrens-world-of-entertainme… #DC

Por alguna razon no conecté con #Clayface ... Simplemente me pareció sosa, con actuaciones simples y una historia decepcionante. Tal vez tenia mis expectativas muy altas. Tom Rhys Harries es lo mejor de la cinta.

Yep.
Superman was not a universal success. It’s flopped internationally and failed to beat a 13 year old MOS, with jacked up ticket prices. Gunn has been a total failure as director and chief CEO for the DCU.

This is EXACTLY what I figured they were doing with this movie. It’s a horror film with the DC and #Clayface name added to it. They are not making movies for DC fans. They are going after a different audience.

Sooo…. Unfortunately I’m MIXED on #Clayface! While Harries, Ackie, and the VFX work SHINE, I find the other aspects of the movie lacking… the script is clunky, the villain GENERIC, some genuinely good ideas missed out on. It’s SOLID, but holds itself back from greatness.

Clayface is fine. The first act is very rushed and the finale gets pretty silly, though the revenge elements in the middle are solid. A hard R with some gnarly gore, it’s not quite what I’d hoped for from my favorite Batman villain, but it could have been a lot worse. #Clayface

CLAYFACE first reviews was published by @Josh_Wilding and is pretty negative, only 2.5 out 5. @RottenTomatoes published it but right after it was removed, without explanation. If first reactions were misleading and CLAYFACE isn’t that good, a $25M debut may not happen.

#ClayfaceMovie does NOT look like it’s boding well: -Clayface’s true form is only on screen for 60 secs -No Batman or Bruce Wayne mention -CGI isn’t good -Lacks the charm to The Fly and The Substance Man of Tomorrow is the last beacon of hope. DCU is a dying brand.

The issue I see with Clayface is it falls into the same trap as the Sony "Spider-Less" films. General audiences just aren't going to line up for a movie about a third tier Batman villain without Batman in it.

I need you guys to understand that it is the worst confirmation bias and cult like mentality to attach your personality to a brand, decide that everything is going to be good even without seeing it and then go and accuse people of being biased because they didn't like it. Even though you are the biased one. It is another level of stupid that I can't stoop to I'm sorry. Muting and blocking from here on out.

The fact that that fandom are harassing people over reviews that don’t align with their biases proves how sane they are not. Very similar to when they attacked Kid Cudi for his review on Superman and he ended up removing it. SMH cultist behavior

Don't worry, James Gunn will get it right with the 51st entry to the DCU. You just have to be patient.
