Kane just completely dismantled Yamal and Mbappé’s Ballon d'Or narratives in three sentences.
Yamal and Mbappé stans are going to lose their minds in the replies
🚨🗣️ Harry Kane on deserving the Ballon d'Or tonight ahead of Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal:
"Everyone talks about the hype around Mbappé and Lamine Yamal, but look at the actual output over the entire year.
I came to Bayern Munich, took on the responsibility and carried the team through every competition alongside Olise while delivering for England. Looking at consistency, goals and carrying the weight of both club and country, I believe I've done more than enough to win the Ballon d'Or tonight."
Watch Viktor Gyökeres goal for Arsenal against Fleetwood Town at Highbury Stadium.
White > Hincapie > Gyokeres

The Arsenal backline against Fleetwood should’ve been Hincapie, Konsa, Salmon, White.
Arteta got it wrong
Arteta throwing 17yr old Marli Salmon into a makeshift backline alongside Mosquera away at a hostile Highbury Stadium was an accident waiting to happen.
Salmon is a serious talent for the future, but expecting a teenager to command the backline on his debut without Saliba, Konsa or Gabriel next to him is unfair.
The senior defenders on that pitch didn't guide him at all on that opening goal.

Illan Meslier during his Leeds tenure was so elite. Now look at him at Arsenal as a backup to David Raya.
He’s way worse than Kepa Arrizabalaga

Illan Meslier conceding to Fleetwood Town at Highbury Stadium on his Arsenal debut is a nightmare start.
People spent weeks claiming we needed a senior backup to give David Raya a rest. Cup debut or not, that level of goalkeeping is nowhere near the standard required for this club.

We’re playing Fleetwood Town and Arteta still won’t pick a primary striker.
Instead of giving Gyökeres a full match as the single focal point to build some proper rhythm, we’re forcing both of them onto the pitch together.
Just pick a main #9 and let him run the line.

Ceadach O’Neil gets a debut for Arsenal while the entire first-choice spine sits. Arteta is protecting the title race and still handing real minutes to kids. That’s the balance most clubs only talk about.

If Mbappe doesn’t win the Ballon D’or ahead of Harry Kane and Lamine Yamal, call me an idiot.

My Arsenal lineup against Fleetwood Town:
Ceadrich - Gyokeres - Dowman
Merino - Zubimendi - Havertz
Skelly - Konsa - Salmon - White
Kepa
Arteta resting Rice, Gabriel and Ødegaard completely against Fleetwood Town isn't risking the tie.
If an Arsenal squad containing Merino, Zubimendi, Eze and Gyökeres can't control a match against 18th in League Two, our rotational depth isn't what we claimed it was. Set the standard early and finish the job

Voting panels hate Premier League dominance because it ruins their yearly narrative for open transition leagues.
Zero Arsenal players in the top 10 after what we built last season is pure, unadulterated corruption.

Mbappé is simply the best player in world football and he delivers when the lights are brightest. Backing Mbappé over Lamine Yamal and Harry Kane stat-padding shouldn't even be a debate.

Harry Kane exposing the media PR pushing Mbappé and Lamine Yamal.
Strip away the hype and look at actual carry-job output for club and country, he told zero lies here.

When a legend like Thierry Henry speaks on world-class forwards, you listen.
Mbappé was miles ahead of Kane and Yamal across the entire year. Media storylines completely ruined the integrity of the voting. Titi called it out perfectly.
🚨🗣️ Thierry Henry on the journalists who voted for Harry Kane to win the Ballon d'Or instead of Kylian Mbappé:
“With all due respect to Harry Kane, he had a great season but wha Mbappé did for Real Madrid and France this past year, breaking records that have stood for decades, that is Ballon d’Or football.
“Harry Kane had a fantastic year, but Mbappé was on a completely different level than everyone else including Yamal. The journalists got this completely wrong. Simple as that."

José Mourinho didn't hold back a single word.
Harry Kane winning over Kylian Mbappé is the biggest daylight robbery in sports history. The Ballon d’Or has zero credibility left
🚨🗣️ Mourinho calls on fans to boycott the award after Harry Kane won the Ballon d'Or ahead of Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal:
“You[Journalists] cannot look me in the eye and tell me Harry Kane deserved this over Kylian Mbappé. Mbappé was head and shoulders above everyone including Yamal.”
“What Mbappé delivered for Madrid left Kane and Yamal miles behind. Miles behind. But the organizers decided before the season even ended who they wanted on that stage.”
“The Ballon d'Or has completely lost its credibility. It is no longer about who is the best footballer in the world; it is about political preference."
