This year was the year of my awakening.

Gotta love waking up feeling rested, on my day off, with my head filled with inspiration because my dreams fed me for 8 and a half glorious hours of sleep. The novel better be ready because I feel like I got two chapters in me today. Let's write, baby! But first...coffee ☕️🤘

I’ve been thinking more about everything that has happened in the last few days with AO3 and now a website that has stolen all our works to monetize on it. I will leave my fanfics up indefinitely but going forward, I believe my writing efforts will be best used in a way I can “potentially” profit from in the future. My novel has been collecting dust. No more putting it aside to write just one more fanfic. The novel is going to get 95-100% of my attention at least for the next while. More than determined now to get that done, edited, and self-published. Maybe this whole mess is a blessing in disguise…

Adding that while I don't mind people sharing PDF and EPUB files of my stories while AO3 is down, this? This is not okay. Not at all. Not in the fucking slightest. Burn them to the ground 🤬

I find it interesting how my personal favourite stories that I’ve written aren’t the ones included in everyone’s drives they’re sharing. Maybe I’m looking at these stories in the wrong way. Maybe I missed something in the ones people love more than I do. Who knows. Just found it rather interesting really 😂

November means the monthly word count gets reset to 0. I had a total of two days with 0 words written in October. Monthly total came in at....47,646 words 💪

Went outside on my last break. Was out by the street for 15 minutes and did not see one single trick-or-treater out in the neighbourhood. What is happening to the world? Halloween night should be filled with the sounds of children out hustling for candy

This time tomorrow it’s going to be dark by 5:30pm. Goodbye after 6 sunsets until March. I’ll miss you 😘

Had a customer ask me where my halloween spirit is then proceeded to tell me that letting my horns show is not my halloween costume. Thanks dude 😂

I see some people talking about deleting their fan fiction when AO3 comes back online. You're not comfortable with the fact people have been downloading them and sharing them with others who clearly loved them enough to want to save them? Okay, cool, that's your prerogative. Me? I've always written for the fandom, for the fans. Read my stories! Download them, share them, maybe even find me on socials and let me know if you enjoyed it if you so wish. All I ask is you do not repost them as your own, as they do not belong to anyone else in that way. The point is, they might be stories written by me, but they're not my characters and I didn't just write them for me, I wrote them for the fandom to enjoy. It boggles my mind that people are all "when AO3 is back I'm deleting everything" Okay. You do you, boo. Your fandom won't miss people like you who are clearly only in it for engagement. I personally want my stories to live forever! Some I don't even have the original copies of anymore (RIP laptop of 2012-2019) so if people have downloaded them and are sharing them now, that makes my heart happy. I have given up on my clip in devil horns. I did find my devil horn headband however so I’m wearing that to work today. Happy Halloween! 🎃
