Very little to enjoy in watching Wigan Athletic play football this season.
This is not a feeling based on recent games, but the entire season so far. We are so far off the required level to compete.
The worst part is it was so predictable. The club requires huge changes.

Genuinely is astonishing 3 Wigan managers in the last 4 seasons havent sorted out the lack of physicality & mobility in our central midfield.
Every single game its an issue, over and over again rinse and repeat we get overrun and outmuscled in the centre of the pitch #wafc
I appreciate he is not too long back from an injury that has kept him out for over 2 months. However, Christian Saydee has to start every game till January at least going forward now. Only one of our strikers who looks capable of scoring at League One level #wafc

Club football is fully back this weekend. Why not warm up with a read on continental transfers for 2026-27 to watch?

This group of Greek players should make a good run at a tournament within the next few cycles. There’s such attacking talent, even with Konstantelias out for so long.
Karetsas, Tzolis, Kostoulas. It’s going to be a really fun era - and Tzolakis can become one of the better goalkeepers in Europe, too.

Greece's golden generation is coming. I thought they were gonna make it to the 2026 WC but they didnt but now it the time for them to move forwards. Should be an interesting team to watch over the next 4 years
Great result for Greece vs Germany.
Had a feeling Greece would be this international cycle's Norway in terms of having a breakthrough set of results to re-establish themselves after a decade in wilderness.
Lots of young Greek players now playing for good sized European teams
In case you missed it earlier, check out a quickly put together newsletter by myself on the international break :)

Brilliant performance by Besiktas tonight.
The Vincenzo Italiano coaching hire already looking a superb move for them.
Wonder if there are already regrets at Napoli for choosing Allegri over Italiano this summer?

Brilliant result in the Europa League for OFI Crete. Certainly wasnt expecting them to beat Hoffenheim!
Greek clubs gaining good coefficient points so far and a result for OFI which enhances their chances at a knockout round progression!

Watching Milan vs Benfica tonight and certainly thinking this notion that both Milan and Juventus are Europa League favourites this season isnt true.
Feel like they have been assigned the favourites tag on past reputation & not current standard of both teams #MilanBenfica #UEL
Dont understand meltdown this morning about not signing Caylan Vickers.
Only showed brief glimpses with us last season, not enough for a permanent signing imo & we have heaps of players for the two '10' roles including the Burrowes loan today.
Other areas more a priority #wafc
Enjoyed this read and even if we sign a striker before the deadline is up, i dont see any harm in giving Moseley a start vs MK midweek. Obviously a gamble but so is persisting with Costelloe or Perkins up front #wafc
