The new plan, called FORTRESS, would require every major military base in the continental U.S. to survive at least 90 days without outside support.

--> 지포스랑 비싼 전문가용 GPU를 등급으로 나누려고 FP16/BF16 쪽을 일부러 깎아둔 거라는 쪽입니다.
(아직 엔비디아가 공식적으로 인정한 건 아님)
이미 산 옛날 RTX 글카에 이만큼 성능을 엔비디아가 막아두고 있었다는 사실 자체가 너무너무 충격입니다...

Why I have repeatedly called 2027 the "Year of Famine" / starvation. It is now baked in. Cannot be resolved. Hundreds of millions of people around the world will face starvation conditions. The first 3 tankers are already crossing the Atlantic. Each carries 300,000 barrels of ultra-low-sulfur diesel, loaded at Primorsk on October 22 and due in New York around November 7.

Power bills are so high in Los Angeles they’re now reaching $2,000-$3,000+, even the mainstream media is reporting it
In response a spokesperson for LADWP just came out and said “We keep very close eye with our financial service office to make sure that our rates are as affordable as possible”
You can’t make this up… These people are so damn corrupt
You literally have people getting $3,000 bills. You have businesses complaining about $20,000-$30,000 power bills. You have a woman who has a $2,000 residential water bill, mayor Karen Bass is even saying if you can’t pay current bills because they are so high then don’t pay it all right now
Then you have the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power gaslighting everyone saying they make sure their rates are “affordable”
They literally just increased bills another 7% this last year too on top of all their other fees….
