Finally picked Hasbro Devcon up recently; almost impossible to tell he's a retool of SS86 Blurr.
Just needs a Slizardo figure to go with him!

Just for a change of old-BBC-sci-fi scene, here’s a restored and colourised photo from Red Dwarf. Series 2 (the best series - I will not be taking questions at this time) has hardly any colour photography at all. So now at least there’s one more. Almost.
Suzanne Bertish, Chris Barrie, Craig Charles and Angela Bruce on the bunkroom set in BBC Manchester Studio A on Tuesday 4th October 1988 during camera rehearsals for ‘Parallel Universe’.
Here's some TF40th context for my own personal 'Class of 1984' Autobot toys. Starting with the iconic Optimus Prime! (the animation was done before we even knew about Missing Link btw). Prime was my big xmas present in '85 (alongside Bee, Skids, Laserbeak/Frenzy and Beachcomber).
Sideswipe came a little later (the first TF I got after my birthday in 1987). Bought, probably with birthday money, from Makro in Sheffield. Sunstreaker meanwhile is the gold box Classic version, from Co-op in Chesterfield, 13/4/90... Ratchet is the Encore release from 2007.
For some reason this dumpy headless sled-former still feels 100% Ratchet to me.
Missing Link version is nice, but gives me off-brand imposter vibes...
Today in 1984 was the shipping date of the first issue of the original Marvel US comic...

As a side note, although I still have him, my original Jazz toy is so yellowed, and the stickers faded and worn, that I decided to use the TRU reissue Jazz I picked up in the 2000s (you can tell by the 'Meister' rather than 'Martinii' deco).

One last International Jazz Day post... My caricature from 2014 of the original Jazzmeister: the late great Scatman Crothers - the voice of G1 Jazz!
Jazz hands everybody! 🎼🎷🎺👍 #Jazz #Transformers

Since it's International Jazz Day (🎷🎼🎺) here's my animated version of Jeffrey Mangiat's original G1 Jazz box art. I usually create my own alt mode art for these, but here I used an actual 1984 Hasbro ad (artist unknown) for his alt mode #Jazz #Transformers

Transformers Season 3 Titles: The Kup/Springer mash up...
In the original titles the central guy appears to be a Kup-coloured Springer. In my ReAnimated version I used Springer but edited his colours to look more like Kup... (I didn't do blueface Magnus though!)
