Shadow foreign secretary Tom Tugendhat asks where to draw the line geographically and historically on slavery reparations and apologies. "Should, in fact, South Americans be apologising for syphilis getting to Europe?"

Bishop Athanasius Schneider, Auxiliary Bishop of Astana (Kazakhstan): “Now we are witnessing an invasion. They are not refugees. No, this is an invasion of mass, mass Islamization of Europe. And so this is a global political agenda by the powerful of the world to destroy Europe culturally and religiously. I mean, to destroy Christianity ultimately in Europe.” ✝️

MEET JONATHAN REYNOLDS. THE MAN NOW IN CHARGE OF THE ENTIRE BRITISH ECONOMY. This is the UK's new Business Secretary. He has never run a business. He has never even worked for one. 🤡 He knows absolutely nothing about risk taking, entrepreneurship, or meeting a payroll. He has never had to hire staff, remortgage his house to provide working capital, or skip his own salary so his employees could have theirs! In fact, he could not even manage to finish his basic training to become a solicitor. Yet the Westminster elite think he is qualified to dictate how British businesses are run! How can we expect our economy to grow when the people running it have never spent a single day in the private sector? They are career politicians who have spent their entire lives living off the taxpayer. RT if you are completely sick of clueless career politicians running our country into the ground! 🇬🇧🔥

You can’t beat the commentary of yesteryear! “At times like these, perhaps it’s a comfort to be reminded of old fashioned human values like loyalty, and service and belonging. Peace is one of life’s inestimable riches and so is freedom, for which these regiments now marching from Horse Guards, have so often since their founding, fought and died.”

Don’t share this under any circumstances. Starmer would be upset about it.
“Labour would freeze your council tax” “Not a penny more on your council tax” “No ifs, no buts” Be a shame if we all shared this Labour lie before the local elections. You simply can’t believe anything Keir Starmer says. Don’t vote Labour.

And it’s been downhill ever since…
#OnThisDay in 1990, Margaret Thatcher formally tenders her resignation to the Queen. "We're leaving Downing Street for the last time after eleven and a half wonderful years, and we're very happy that we leave the United Kingdom in a very much better state than when we came here"

Not many people these days know that the British Empire was the driving force behind ending the vast majority of global slavery. Slavery or de facto slavery was standard practice throughout the world from the dawn of civilization until a few hundred years ago. It is even discussed at length in the Bible, for example.
The British Empire was, in some ways, a force for good. In many places it occupied it: -raised the standard of living -developed infrastructure -promoted education It also single-handedly ended slavery for much of the world…🧵(thread)
