TAPPS Division 1 - District 1 Legacy Christian Academy-Frisco | @LCAFriscoFB Head Coach: Doug Hix @CoachDougHix 📝 2025 Outlook Legacy Christian continues its climb under head coach Doug Hix, who has quickly transformed the Eagles into a legitimate contender in TAPPS Division I. Senior Luke Lawrence @_Luke_Lawrence, who stepped in seamlessly at quarterback last season, now has the reins full-time and brings dual-threat ability that makes the offense dangerous in multiple ways. Two-time all-state linebacker Sam Jones @SamJones_2026 returns as the heartbeat of the defense, while Jaxson Ladd @jaxson_ladd adds physicality to a ground game that helps set the tone. With confidence growing and the roster balanced across experience and youth, the Eagles are well-positioned to challenge district powers and push for a deeper playoff run. 🔥 Things to Like 🔹 Dynamic QB play: Lawrence proved himself as more than a capable replacement in 2024, throwing for over 1,700 yards while adding nearly 600 on the ground. His ability to extend plays and lead with poise gives Legacy one of the most versatile quarterbacks in the district. 🔹 Strength in the trenches: The offensive line remains a strength, anchored by Grant Edwards @GrantEdwards_76 and rising sophomore Jude Womack @Jude_W09, providing size and stability. Veteran Jaxon Dugas @Jaxon_Dugas adds toughness, while the defensive line is bolstered by junior Cash Cartade and Coppell transfer Claude Sanders @ClaudeSanders_3, who provide size, depth and disruption up front. 🔹 Defensive leaders: Jones with 158 tackles is one of the premier linebackers in TAPPS and sets the tone for a defense that also features Ladd’s physicality. They’re complemented by two-way athletes like Duke Strain II @duke_strain and Bubba Barnes @Bubba_Barnes21, who continue to be key playmakers for the Eagles. 👀 Things to Watch 🔹 Wide receiver core stepping up: With injuries creating openings, new faces must emerge. Junior Korrian Gray @KorrianGray and Frisco Wakeland transfer junior Brennan Baze @B_Baze_ headline the group of receivers looking to make an impact, while younger players will need to seize their chance in the passing game. 🔹 Emerging playmakers on the rise: Christian Collins brings speed on the perimeter, while Duke Strain II @duke_strain and Bubba Barnes @Bubba_Barnes21 add versatility on both sides of the ball. On defense, junior DBs H Rasor @RobertHRasor, Dave Nsambu, and Miles Heaton @miles_heaton1 are stepping into major roles in the secondary. 🔹 Taking the next step: Now entering his third year, Hix has built steady momentum, but after an eight-win season and an impressive semifinal run that included back-to-back road wins in San Antonio, expectations are even higher. Legacy Christian needs break into the top tier alongside Liberty, Parish, and Prestonwood. Located in the heart of one of the state’s most talent-rich corridors, establishing itself as a consistent winner could help Legacy keep more of that talent close to home and elevate the program into true championship contention. 📱 Player/Coach Accounts on X Brennan Baze @B_Baze_, 2027, WR Bubba Barnes @Bubba_Barnes21, 2026, RB/LB, CF/LF/RF Claude Sanders @ClaudeSanders_3, 2027, DL/OL Duke Strain II @duke_strain, 2027, LB Grant Edwards @GrantEdwards_76, 2028, OL H Rasor @RobertHRasor, 2027, SS/OLB Jack Olson @Jolson10168, 2026, K, WR Jake Le @JakeLe55, 2026, C/OL Jaxon Dugas @Jaxon_Dugas, 2026, OL/DL Jaxson Ladd @jaxson_ladd, 2026, LB/RB Jayden Holland @JaydenH0lland, 2027, TE/EDGE Jude Womack @Jude_W09, 2028, OL JT Kielblock @JTkill33, 2027, OLB/RB Korrian Gray @KorrianGray, 2027, DB Luke Lawrence @_Luke_Lawrence, 2026, QB Miles Heaton @miles_heaton1, 2027, CB/WR Noah Morabito @NoahMorabito_, 2027, WR/SS Sam Jones @SamJones_2026, 2026, LB Tay Hanes @HanesTay54348, 2027, QB Trajin Alexander @Tra_Alexander8, 2027, QB Jake Mackey @CoachMackey25, DC Coach James Moore @jjjams2008, RB Coach Manny Arceneaux @mannyshow84, WR Coach Will Hopkins @WillyHop60, OL Coach Kahlil McKenzie Jr. @Kahlil_McKenzie, Recruiting Coordinator #txhsfb #TAPPSFootball @TXPSMedia @TXPrivateFBGuy @dctf @QBHitList
