What is a "Gold Star" in Pokemon TCG?
In modern sets, starting from Scarlet & Violet (2023), gold stars mean high-tier rarities:
1 GS: Illustration Rare (IR). A smooth, alt-art card of a Pokemon
2 GS: Special Illustration Rare (SIR). A full-art, textured chase card...
3 GS: A Hyper Rare. Highest tier, golden border treatments & finishes for select Pokémon EX.
On the other hand, the Original Gold Star ★ from vintage sets, 2004-2007, designated an ultra-rare Shiny Pokemon.
Pulling rate for these is around 1 in 80, so 1 every 2 booster boxes
Really cool feature and we appreciate you using Rip Index!
Should we make an API for people to build plugins like this easier?
packs are live on nought.
before you rip a graded-card gacha pack, see what it actually pays back. the ripindex plugin puts collector crypt's 35 packs on one board: cents back per $1 measured over 7 days of real pulls, how many rips lose, and the top chase card. pick a pack, hit rip 10 in the sim, and watch it draw from that pack's measured odds with real cards pulled from it. like the odds, open the real one on collector crypt.
