JUST IN: Serbia’s longtime leader Aleksandar Vucic conceded defeat in Sunday’s parliamentary election, losing to a student-led opposition movement after two years of protests against his government.
The stunning result ends 14 years of dominance by Vucic and his right-wing party. Backed by Vladimir Putin, Vucic had accused the student movement of being a foreign-backed attempt to oust him.
The opposition is projected to win 135–140 of Parliament’s 250 seats, compared with about 105 for Vucic’s party.

Texas hadn't seen a night like this since 1994.
By 9:47 p.m., the watch party in Austin was shaking. The big screen flashed: 4 million votes. Then more. Young voters from Houston, abuelas from the Valley, teachers from Dallas, oilfield workers from the Permian who were tired of being told to be grateful while companies posted record profits.
James Talarico took the stage first — the Senate race called. The kid who started as a state rep, who talked about faith and honesty in rooms where no Democrat was supposed to win, had just beaten Ken Paxton.
"We didn't buy this seat," he said. "You earned it."
Then Gina Hinojosa walked out to a roar. The governor's race — the one everyone said couldn't be won against Greg Abbott — was hers. The first Democrat to win the Governor's mansion in over 30 years.
"They said Texas doesn't change," she said, holding back tears. "Texas just did."
Their message never changed in the final weeks: End the corruption. Not as a slogan — as a contract. No more insider deals while families pay more at the pump. No more "we're making a freaking fortune" while Texans foot the bill.
It took 4 million Texas votes to say it loud enough for Washington and Austin to hear.
That night, Texas didn't turn blue or red. It turned toward itself. #USDemocracy

To the hateful, bullying MAGA folks who posted trash and lies earlier on my we-voted-blue-today post, my husband and I do not give a 💩. We are your worst nightmare: intelligent, accomplished, caring Americans who are gold star parents and love the USA. Vote Blue! Save America!
