Adult learning presentations are a lot like trying to convince a cat to take a bath: you are working against a lifetime of stubborn independence, and if you bore them for more than four minutes, they mentally check out. Thanks @LukwagoRajab for a great presentation! We were alert

✅ RLI approaches adult learning by anchoring abstract concepts in real-world experiences and peer collaboration. From studies tracking knowledge months after training, active learners retained 70.6% of the information compared to just 54.25% for passive learners

Introduction to RLI: @fkimuli77 did justice to this session. This is the opening session of the Rotary Leadership Institute where the goal is to break the ice, spark enthusiasm, and move away from traditional, lecture formats. RLI relies on interactive adult facilitation.

✅ Shoutout to everyone balancing high ethics with everyday business reality for service! @JulieKamuzze facilitated the session reminding participants that Rotary vocational service is the practice of applying high ethical standards to your daily work. Tough one, isn't it?!

The classic classroom football demo: Nothing says "cutting-edge learning" like watching a group of adults try to execute a tactical tiki-taka passing game in a tiny space between boards and chairs. Here is a what "RLI classroom Champions League" match usually looks like!

✅ Engaging Members: @othembi took the stage to redefine engaging Members in our clubs. "By giving our members meaningful opportunities to contribute, lead and grow, we will empower clubs to provide the best value to every member." - from Myrotary.org
