Nothing quite as sobering as seeing this opening night and feeling euphoric about art only for reality to set in by the end of the weekend that we're a dying breed. See Wildwood on the biggest screen you can asap so you can enjoy man-made art before it's gone for good.
‘WILDWOOD’ opened with $11M domestically. The second lowest opening for a LAIKA film.

Want to do a thread documenting every film I watch this year, so let’s go. 1. Lost Highway (1997). Weird but brilliant, so David Lynch in a nutshell. Slightly cursed due to the presence of several Marilyn Manson songs, but otherwise I really enjoyed this. 4.5/5

68. John Carpenter's Vampires (1998). Not one of Carpenter's best. There was definite potential, the cinematography and direction are on point, but the plot is almost non existent which leads to the movie feeling twice as long as it actually is. 2/5

69. Return of the Living Dead (1985). Absolutely hilarious with some fantastic lines. Some of the zombie designs go pretty hard as well. 4/5

directors need to start PUSHING for animated movies and shows to be PG-13 / TV-14!
Wildwood should be nominated for Best Picture. Animated or not, it’s an incredible achievement in filmmaking and it deserves to be recognised as such.

The world's richest man is transphobic. The richest people in Germany funded the Nazis who were transphobic. JK Rowling is an elite herself. The right is orwellian as fuck.
JK Rowling refuses to back down in essay calling trans activism 'elitist to its core' trib.al/4njzbX1

yall don’t actually want original movies if you won’t go see Wildwood. > director is adamantly anti AI > the entire film was handcrafted puppets and environments > some of the best action of the year right up there with The Odyssey > made me cry twice in the theater
‘WILDWOOD’ earned $4.3M in its domestic opening day. Read our review: bit.ly/WildwoodDF

„Aber H.P. Lovecraft war doch auch scheiße und Rassist!!!1“ Der Typ wurde 1890 geboren und liegt seit 90 Jahren unter der Erde, der richtet keinen Schaden mehr an. Rowling hingegen nutzt ihren Reichtum aktiv um Menschen zu schaden, die ihr Leben nicht beeinflussen.

JK Rowling has not uttered a word about Cornell. JK Rowling has made no mention of the girls being raped in ICE detention centres. All of her "concerns" hinge on her hatred of transgender people. All of her "concerns" are for women and girls of a certain class. 1/4
J.K. Rowling has published a new essay defending her views on the trans community and calling out trans activism in the 21st century for being "elitist." "My views haven't changed... what to me represents no change at all in my political or ideological outlook has, in recent years, seen me and women like me subject not only to criticism but also to death threats. This is because we oppose the current, dominant strain of trans activism, which holds that a man who declares himself a woman is, literally, a woman, and is therefore entitled to be treated as a woman in all contexts..." variety.com/2026/tv/global/j…

This is not "keeping politics out of music." If he wanted to do that he just would have played the show and not said anything. This is a political message designed to suppress a certain kind of speech he disagrees with.
Metallica frontman James Hetfield recently called out artists who turn their concerts into political rallies, saying: “Metallica is not here, like some other entertainers, to influence you with their BULLSH*T.” Do you agree with James? Should musicians keep politics out of concerts, or should artists use the stage to speak about what they believe in? Let’s debate. What do you think? #Metallica #JamesHetfield #HeavyMetal #Metal #ThisDayInMetal

not really a gotcha saying “you only want music from bands that have beliefs that align with yours” when the beliefs are genocide is bad

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. I was 5 years old - the trip was preceded by a trip to Burger King where I got a toy of Will Smith on a horse from Wild Wild West, and then followed by a trip to Woolworths where I bought the Naboo Swamp Lego Set.
what’s the first movie you remember seeing in the cinema?? #filmtwt
