Some days you have to find the birds and some days the birds find you--like this handsome Red-bellied Woodpecker that was obsessed with this tree knot just overhead. Did I say, 'handsome'? 🥰🥰🥰 #Woodpecker #CentralPark #birdcpp

Tesco “Rosedene Farms” branding conjures up the impression a cosy British orchard. The apples are from France.
This is farmwashing: packaging designed to make imported food look local and dupe shoppers into thinking they’re buying British.

Thankfully this Red Kite seems to have got away from the shotgun blast. Pretty hard to hide the evidence here! The shameful state of Grouse management.

Rescued from unimaginable cruelty in Lebanon, this #kestrel had her eyes sewn shut by a falcon trapper to serve as a live decoy for >6 weeks.
Thanks to our anti-poaching team and vet care, she’s healed and back in the open sky where she belongs!
