Helen, you're so important to us, you're so admired by us and you're so loved by us.
Here is my statement in the House of Representatives - an important opportunity to send our support to Helen and also thank the community members, first responders and everyone who stepped up and stepped in last Monday.

The hypocrisy is sickening.
The nastiness and personal abuse that has come out Tanya Plibersek’s mouth for years - and she wants kindness.
🚨 BREAKING NEWS: The Flashback That Undermined The Kindness Warning
SYDNEY — In a development experts are calling “the most important kindness moment in Australian progressive history,” Tanya Plibersek has confirmed it is possible to have strong debate without being mean, cruel, or inflammatory.
The flashback shows her previously describing Barnaby Joyce as a sexist who does not like listening to women, Craig Kelly as a taxpayer-funded nong spreading misinformation, and Peter Dutton as looking like Voldemort who frightens children who watched Harry Potter.
This is not hypocrisy. This is lived experience in identifying who requires correction. Labor’s personal attacks on appearance remain a separate category.
The under-16 social media ban and Digital Duty of Care™ remain the only tools capable of protecting vulnerable youth from the remaining threats.
Do as she says. Not as she did. 🫶💀

The list grows every day.
THE ALBANESE LIE LIST. THE LIST THAT NEVER ENDS.
"$275 off your power bill." Electricity up 22.4% in a year once the rebates ran out.
"No intention of making any super changes." Said again on national TV. Two days later, a new super tax.
"My word is my bond." Stage 3 rewritten.
"For the 50th time." Negative gearing and capital gains changed in the next Budget.
A gambling report from a colleague who died of cancer. Australians losing $32 billion a year. Answered 1,049 days later, with no ad ban.
Robodebt hurt 433,000 Australians. The watchdog has never held a public hearing, and nobody is going to court.
A $411 million referendum, then a Makarrata Commission that was "not what we have proposed". AAP FactCheck: False.
Islamic State-linked returnees, kept quiet for four months. One now charged with terrorism offences.
1.2 million homes promised. 124,000 behind. 169,000 households waiting for public housing.
$10 billion for social housing. 1,432 homes after three years.
"No one will be removed without somewhere to go." 241,000 off the NDIS, most of them kids.
A record $860 million on consultants, and PwC back on the list.
Fuel supply "secure". Three days later, the legal minimum cut. Diesel now near $3.
"End the rorts." Then $559 million by invitation, 73.2% to Labor seats.
"No, we are not." Fifteen days later, Palestine recognised.
A royal commission would "delay action". Twenty-five days later, a royal commission.
"A two in front." Four rate rises, and about $470 a month more on the average new mortgage.
"I did not speak to the former Qantas CEO before a decision was made." The diary shows a meeting.
Interest on the national debt: $27 billion last year. About $51,000 a minute.
And the list goes on…
Cold Hard Facts. Corrected when wrong. No misinformation.
What's your thoughts…?

I wish we didn’t have to respond to this today. Our thoughts should be with Helen Haines, and praying for her speedy recovery.
But the Labor and Liberal Dirt Units are already back at work, attempting to use this tragedy to silence their critics and deflect from their own failings. Too many media organisations are happy to help them fling the dirt.
The Please Explain cartoons have nothing to do with the tragic attack on Helen Haines. They will not be going anywhere.
Liberal and Labor politicians want our cartoons censored because they don’t like the scrutiny.
Free speech, satire, criticism and debate are essential to our democracy. They must be protected.
Those seeking to exploit this tragedy to silence their critics should be ashamed of themselves.
What happened to Helen is heartbreaking. Politicians deserve to be safe. So does every other Australian.
When violence touches politicians, the response is immediate: more security, more protection and demands for action. Where is that same urgency when ordinary Australians are attacked?
Too many Australians have experienced violent home invasions, firebombings, machete and gun attacks and carjackings. Innocent Australians are being stabbed on the streets. They cannot call on a security detail. They rely on governments to keep their communities safe.
Where has the Prime Minister been? Where is his determination to confront the crime and violence regular Australians face?
One Nation will continue to hold the Albanese Labor government to account. We will keep speaking up for Australians whose safety and concerns have been ignored.
We stand firmly against hatred, crime and violence. And we will keep working to unite all Australians under one flag.
Trying to tie it to social media again. A cheap and pathetic attempt to use a terrible tragedy to take control of free speech.

THE GLOBAL WARMING SCAM HAS COLLAPSED
"Voters in climate minister Chris Bowen’s electorate have rejected the government’s scaremongering on coal, with 78 per cent of locals saying they support keeping existing coal fired power plants going until an alternative is ready and 80 per cent saying NSW should build new ones.
The stunning results were replicated across a dozen seats around the Sydney area, according to research from the Coalition for Conservation and come after years of rising power prices and Labor’s broken promise to cut energy bills by $275.
And in news that will likely give Prime Minister Anthony Albanese pause, 82 per cent of voters in his own green-tinged inner city seat of Grayndler said existing coal power plants should be allowed to keep running.
Sixty-three per cent of Grayndler locals backed the idea of NSW building new coal plants to power the state."
