An Teallach, meaning The Forge. Today was my 2nd visit, the last was 28 years ago. A long day, nearly 9hrs, but a great hill day.

Managed to get up into the hills today although it was still quite windy. Lots of rainbows and even had a few wintry showers. The sound of roaring stags could be heard throughout the glens all day. Was out nearly 8 hours but it flew by.

Too windy to head up a mountain today and with thunder forecast thought it best to wander around some lochs.

Assynt hills this fine morning. Now off up one of them for a summit camp. Fingers crossed the aurora kicks off and the skies stay clear.

Warm autumnal colours at dusk, juxtaposed by a chilly wind. A pleasant wander up Derwent Edge yesterday evening.
