Insightful article on #AI, and its use by the #FDA. Will this fix the agency’s ongoing employee shortage?

"Lilly is ‘worth’ about $1 trillion. J&J and AbbVie together come to about the same. Novo Nordisk, which touched roughly $640 billion in June 2024, is back to about $165 billion, despite selling one of the two largest medicines on earth. This clearly isn’t a sales ranking. Current sales would not produce this chart. J&J generates more revenue than Lilly. Roche books nearly as much, and is worth a third of it."

If your company needs you on email all weekend, you may have built a dependency problem.
I like to use some of Saturday for the thinking that gets crowded out during the week. Am I spending time on the right things? What am I avoiding? Where am I getting in my team’s way?
A little preparation also keeps Monday from becoming a day spent reacting to everyone else’s priorities.
Then I put the phone down and spend time with family. Being available to everyone at work can mean being absent for the people sitting next to you.
That’s a lousy trade to make every weekend.

Anastasia Potapova hurt her leg badly during her match against Mirra Andreeva at the US Open.
It looks like she hyperextended it.
Mirra walked over to check on her.
Hopefully it’s not a serious injury… this would be a very sad way for a great match to end. ❤️🩹

Don’t stop the WH ballroom at this point! Doing so would be a waste of money, and an eyesore for the next decade - or two.
I know I’ve cut enough firewood when I’ve used a gallon of bar oil. Getting close. Now to spilt, load and fill up the wood building before the snow flies.

I don't think Fauci is an evil demon and I also don't think he's a glorious hero. He's a human who had a hard job during hard times. He did some things well, others not so well, and honestly, probably tried to make the best of a horrible situation as most of us did?

Tuned in to @WNBA all star game, and had I been a paying customer at the event, I’d be demanding a refund! The pace of play looked like a YMCA old-man pickup game. Fix it to make it competitive and worth watching.
