Another reminder: As the Colts continue trading players ahead of the NFL’s deadline, it’s worth noting: the New York Jets hold Indianapolis’ 2027 first-round draft pick.
Trade: Colts are sending three-time Pro-Bowl DT DeForest Buckner back to the 49ers, the team that made him a 2016 first-round pick before dealing him to Indianapolis in 2020, per me and @rapsheet. Now Buckner returns to San Francisco, fortifying the 49ers defensive line.

Rex Ryan had a perfect response to the idea that #Jets WR Garrett Wilson could ask to be traded:
“Yeah, that tells me right there that you don’t know this young man. This guy is not gonna run from a fight. I think just the opposite. The little time that I spent with him, I think it’s just the opposite; this dude is going to win with the New York Jets. It’s just when. He is going to be here when this team turns; he’s going to be here.”

Feels like the Jets are headed toward a possible future with at least two Top-10 picks in the upcoming draft.

A sneaky winner of the Quenton Nelson trade to Seattle?
The Jets.
The Nelson trade could be the first of multiple trades the Colts make for their quality veteran players as they look towards the future.
The Jets own Indy's 2027 first round pick.

This indirectly impacts the Jets: The Colts have begun their sell-off.
Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency.
But an all-time Colt now moves on to the Seahawks.
