We are releasing the stable version of Inspect Robots so that anyone can evaluate any model, on any robot, for any task.
Inspect Robots is fully open-source. Feedback, issues, and PRs welcome!
We're releasing the first stable version of Inspect Robots, the evaluation framework we use internally.
Anyone can use Inspect Robots to run evaluations on any model, any robot and any task. For example, you can run GPT-6 Astra on i2RT's YAM arms.
Link and paper below.
We'll present Inspect Robots at the Science of Physical AI Safety workshop at CoRL 2026 on Nov 12 in Austin, organized by @paisi_ai.
Paper: arxiv.org/abs/2610.06306
Shout out to @leet_codes for preparing the stable release and leading the paper!

Just like in the Hugging Face incident, the models figured out a way to communicate.

This is both neat & a sign of why it is proving to be so hard to isolate agents from each other. They share a common "brain" which means they don't have a lot of trouble recognizing creative communication solutions generated by other AIs
Wonder if it works across model families?
We asked two isolated copies of the same AI to exchange a secret word with only a robot and a camera.
They succeeded by using air-writing, Morse code, flag semaphore and a 5-bit binary alphabet, without agreeing on a protocol beforehand.

SITUATION DETECTED: Sam Altman said OpenAI will point its robotics program at building data centers, and that self-replicating OpenAI data centers with AI-controlled robots running fabs, building solar panels, and constructing more data centers - are now “within grasp.”
GPT-6.1 Terra can now stack three bowls 75% of the time. Three months ago, GPT-5.6 Terra could only stack two bowls 5% of the time.
