Tough night from the floor for Tyran Stokes. Love the passion, though. Pair that with Louisville making as many threes as they have and this is a pretty reasonable result. Get TKR back and we’ll see Duke on Sunday.
So, uh, when’s the last time Kansas lost an exhibition game at Allen Fieldhouse? Was Bill Self even alive?
A two-hour loop that just constantly goes back and forth between Louisville blitzing Kansas with threes and endless political commercials
I don’t get how anybody who didn’t want Melvin Council back could watch this game and still feel that way. He’s the heart and soul of the squad. Every great KU team has had a tough-as-nails leader that doesn’t put up with shit from anybody. The Morrii. Tyshawn. BIFM. J-Wil.
Pat Kelsey calling a timeout after a 4-0 run because he understands that even in an exhibition game, that place is preposterously loud when the snowball starts
Feels like this has been the trouble spot more often than not in these last couple of years - the first 5-10 minutes of the second half. Jayhawks can’t stop the three-point barrage, and they can’t get anything to fall on the other end. Cards on a 19-5 run with five threes.
The most impressive Jayhawk besides Tre White, for my money in these exhibitions, has been Tay Kinney. He is such a pure passer of the basketball. Such a special blend of speed and court-vision. Such good touch on all of his passes.
Methinks it's not a coincidence he and Stokes have been the only two to start both exhibition games. There are a lot of questions about lineups, but Kinney looks like he's this team's point guard.
Kinney - Council - White - Stokes - TKR looks like the favorite right now.
It sucks so hard. It's ugly, the location is so prominent, and the colors have nothing in common with anything else on that court. They should tell the Big 12 no and pay whatever the fine costs. Screw 'em.
We somehow have like 125 names on the Preseason All Big 12 list and Tre White wasn't one of them. What a mistake. He will contend for Big 12 Player of the Year. Book it, write it down, mark it. 18 and 7 with a 39% three-point rate year incoming.
