Thanks to everyone that came out to our panel at @emeraldcitycon for myself, @sophywong and @RocketProps. The panel room was so packed and at capacity. It was inspiring to see all the interest in 3D Printing for cosplay
#ECCC2023 y’all were wonderful! Here is the slide deck from our talk.

"The most important thing I carry though has probably got to be my lollipops, I know how heartbreaking it is to have your hand-built cosplay fall apart on you, so my primary goal is to always make someone’s day feel just a bit better."

There are 2 kinds of prop artists:
1) People who understand that sanding a 3D printed part yields the best results
2) People who leave their dishes in the sink for a week "to soak"

I know this is a joke but I want to point out that aside from myself, we only had 1 day in 6.5 weeks that incurred work hours during a weekend, and none of our fulltime nor freelance staff broke 40hr/week otherwise. It's hard work, but its properly managed. Crunch is wage theft

Cons and con venues have got to knock off the “no outside food or drink” policies because they’re always blatant greedy cash grabs that are wildly ableist, potential dangerous, and effect people who need specific food and water immediately on hand the most.
