For those in the area, tomorrow (November 1, 2024) I’ll speak at two events at @JMU in Harrisonburg, VA.
A roundtable hosted by computer science at 11:30 am and a talk hosted by philosophy at 4pm.
AI ethics can only become global by becoming culturally responsive, but it can only become culturally responsive by becoming psychologically realist. Global AI policies and initiatives cannot be based on reflection alone.
They must be based on how people actually think about and behave with regard to AI and ethics.
