16 years ago today, Big Time Rush released their self-titled debut album, BTR — the record that officially brought the band’s music into the world. Released on October 11, 2010, through Nickelodeon Records and Columbia Records, BTR marked a defining moment for Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos PenaVega and Logan Henderson. What began as a Nickelodeon series was quickly becoming a real musical phenomenon, and this album was the beginning of something much bigger. Featuring fan favorites like “Til I Forget About You,” “Big Night,” “Nothing Even Matters,” “City Is Ours” and “Halfway There,” the album introduced the sound that would define the early Big Time Rush era — a mix of catchy pop hooks, pop-rock energy, heartfelt lyrics and the unmistakable chemistry of four voices coming together
