In 10 months, O’Shaquie Foster has beaten Stephen Fulton, Raymond Ford and Emanuel Navarrete — all while some so-called stars and pound-for-pound talents haven’t fought at all or have been in the ring just once.

I've seen 116-112 Smith, 116-112 Puello and a draw. It was a nip and tuck fight with no one dominant and plenty of swing rounds. Calling it a robbery is nonsense. Gomez-O'Doherty was a robbery. This wasn't even in the same ballpark and you're fooling yourself if you think otherwise.

Just finished Paul Banke vs Daniel Zaragoza II. Words cannot describe the insanity I’ve just witnessed. This was less a fight than a war, with both men continually escalating the violence, pushing each other to unimaginable extremes. A brutal spectacle. youtu.be/AffpZxPjCS4?is=UBSc…

Harry Greb vs. Mickey Walker. And I would have taken the @CompuBox program, a power supply and a colleague back with me. :-)

Seeing a lot of talk about a missed defensive PI call on the last play of the BYU Notre Dame game, and that there should have been 1 second left…
Ball is snapped, QB flips the ball in his hands, he drops back 5-6 steps, then starts running to his right and the clock is STILL at 4 seconds. 🤦🏻♂️
Then, ball is overthrown, BUT receiver initiates contact with the defender AND holds his wrist the entire time to prevent receiver from batting the ball. 🤦🏻♂️

Weird stat: No team in college football history has defeated BYU a year after turning down a Pop-Tarts Bowl invite to play BYU the previous season

Reminder that Notre Dame quit their bowl game because they thought they were too good to play BYU.

It’s a rough day for the “We don’t need to expand the playoff because only 6 teams can win”
It’s a new era. Parity is here. Chaos is here.
We need to determine the champion on the field not a board room. More teams helps get us there.
RoldBoxing retweeted
That’s not the reason for expansion.
But just so you know, you told us the same thing when we went from 4 to 12.
“Nobody outside the top 4 has a chance”
Wrong
Ohio State wins it as an 8. Miami plays for it was a 9 seed.

95% of the sport doesn't have a realistic shot at the NC going into the season. Put as many teams in as you want, the reality is the reality. Pretending otherwise is weak ass loser shit.

TheNFL has 32 teams. 14 make the playoffs. The FBS has 138 teams. People are freaking out about 24 of them making the playoff and how it's going to ruin the regular season. Get real people!!

The 24 Team CFB Playoff is still the most exclusive postseason field a team can be part of.
Baseball: 308 ➟ 64 (20.8%)
Basketball: 365 ➟ 68 (18.6%)
Football: 138 ➟ 24 (17.4%)
You're worried about rewarding a 9-3 team in December, but will cheer for a 21-14 team in March.

The damnedest thing about the playoff is that before the BCS, everybody wanted a playoff. During the BCS, everybody wanted a playoff.
Now we’re getting a playoff that will deliver a true champion every year, and people act like BCS was the good ole days.
Y’all are full of shit.

I'm planting my flag atop this hill and I'm not budging.
The 24-team College Football Playoff is awesome!
And I'm here to stand in opposition to decades of gaslighting leading fans to believe an acutal playoff would ruin the "sacred" regular season when the exact opposite is true.
College football games are awesome because we love college football, not because of the playoff implications. Army-Navy hasn't been nationally relevant since black and white TV, but we watch because we love it!
Now, we will get better games with more of them carrying actual postseason weight. And instead of relying on a group of self-important nerds in a hotel ballroom debating defensive efficiency metrics to tell us who is worthy of entry, we will have actual games on the field to determine outcomes.
They told you the BCS would ruin college football.
They told you a four-team CFP would do the same.
Rinse and repeat with 12. Now 24.
We all still love college football just as much as we did when they told you how awesome it was to win the Car Quest Bowl.
I know roughly 1% of you will agree with this, but overcoming decades of brainwashing is difficult.
This is a great thing for our sport.

"Expanding the playoffs to 24 teams means that now 17% of college football teams will make the playoffs. In the NFL it's 44% and yet it's never killed our interest in the regular season."
@colincowherd doesn't buy that a 24-team playoff will kill college football

It's pretty comical how people screaming about "the regular season won't matter" don't realize that is hasn't mattered in over a decade. And maybe ever. You were just fooled into believing it did.

I miss the days where if you weren't absolutely perfect and finished 11-1 or 10-2 you had the sacred privilege of not competing for a championship and instead got to play in a meaningless bowl game that existed to make bowl executives wealthy.

Great stuff from @izdatyofaceee and @BrunchBoxing on this.
I truly respect BoxRec's effort to change the culture.
On the other side of it, I've also heard matchmakers & managers complain that such omissions makes it harder to detect if/when a fighter is on suspension.
