For November I want to: stop reading books; publish TQF81, TQF82 and the new Rafe McGregor collection; write a novel; listen to Dr Who audiobooks while playing on the Xbox; and do so much work that paying for Christmas will barely put a dent in my finances. Should be a doddle. 😄
For this year's @OcTBRChallenge I'm going to focus on books and audiobooks that are either in French or translated from it. So my Bob Morane novels and comics, everything on @izneoBD, my Maigret audiobooks, maybe some plays. Should be fun.
I got all but two of the OcTBRChallenge badges but counting Il etait une fois as non-fiction is stretching it a bit 😄 – I had a Camus from the cyan Penguin Modern series in mind but didn't finish it. I also wanted to read a couple of French books borrowed from the LoB.
Using the Photo Quilt app to make a collage of all the books and audiobooks I finished each October is one of my favourite bits of #OcTBRChallenge. So satisfying how neatly it slots all the covers together.
April 1 already?

I've been waiting all week to watch the apology video again and it had me in stitches again, but watching it on tv cannot possibly compare to being in a packed cinema as everyone reacts to each new face that appears.

Villeneuve hasn't cast many male British actors in his films and Daniel Kaluuya is one of them.
But I doubt that whoever leaked the other names would care that much about sparing anyone the vitriol.
One source speculated that the mystery actor testing for 007 is an actor of color whose name is being withheld to spare him the inevitable racist vitriol that would be unleashed online — vitriol that may not be worth it unless he ultimately lands the role.

Douglas Ogurek reviews the horror anthology Blood Bank: "If all the other stories tanked – they didn’t – this story would still make the anthology worth it. That’s how good it is."
