Johann Sebastian Bach, Fugue in C Minor, BWV 906, played by Edith Picht-Axenfeld. The fugue remained unfinished, yet it is still one of my favorite works by Bach. youtube.com/watch?v=GsKr-ZzZ…

#EvangeliumHodiernum (Mt 22, 34-40)

"If Jesus Christ does not reign through the blessings inseparable from his presence, he will reign through the damages unavoidably caused by his absence." (Louis-Édouard Cardinal Pie)
Sometimes God sends plagues when he is trying to make a statement ... when HE is angry at behavior that is an abomination... Europe is now getting their plague.

The wicked protest, wail and cry, Christ Jesus’ reign they would deny; Rejoice we at thy glorious name, Thou Highest King we do proclaim. All glory be, Jesus, to thee, Thy scepter over all that be; All glory, as is ever meet, To Father and to Paraclete. Amen. (Brev. Rom.)

"Democracy is not necessarily a perfect solution to everything." "Democracy remains healthy, however, only when rooted in the moral law and a true vision of the human person. Lacking this foundation, it risks becoming (...) a majoritarian tyranny (...)." (Pope Leo XIV)

In 1997, Jesuit priest Fr. John Hardon issued a sobering warning about Communion in the hand. Speaking at the Call to Holiness Conference in Detroit, he stated: “Behind Communion in the hand — I wish to repeat and make as plain as I can — is a weakening, a conscious, deliberate weakening of faith in the Real Presence.” He concluded his remarks with this appeal: “Whatever you can do to stop Communion in the hand will be blessed by God.” For Fr. Hardon, this was not merely a debate over liturgical preferences. It was a battle over belief in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. When reverence for the Eucharist is lost, belief in the Real Presence soon follows. Servant of God, Fr. John A Hardon, pray for us.

Side note: Democracy in practice: WHO cites 1% clinically insane & 10–15% mentally ill. As diagnostic benchmarks (e.g. Schmidt-Atzert/Amelang) dictate, 15.87% possess a below-average IQ (<85). Add an unquantifiable mass of gravely morally deviant individuals. Good luck with that!
