How it works
Circle CCTP carries your USDC and signed instructions to a contract on Rome. The contract deposits into Kamino and accounts for your position. Rome runs EVM chains inside Solana’s runtime, letting the contract call Solana programs directly in one transaction.

Rome's full stack is open on GitHub: the EVM program that runs inside Solana's runtime, the SDKs, the node stack, the Solidity library, the CLI and the registry. Builders can run their own chain on it.
The EVM program deployed on Solana mainnet has been through three @HalbornSecurity engagements, two in 2025 and a 2026 review of the deployed build. The executive summaries are published in full, and the deployed binary reproduces from the audited tag.

How it works:
Rome runs the market maker and an escrow program on Solana. Your browser builds the transaction, your wallet signs it, and the escrow checks the signed quote and a zero-knowledge fill proof before it calls the Helius shielded pool. No custody in between.
What is private and what is not: the received note's token and amount are encrypted, addresses are visible, and the USDC you pay on entry is public. One pair, SOL/USDC, Solflare, devnet only while Helius Privacy is in beta.
