You can go to space, or you can give money to fat black women. Those are your political options.

POV: you are a Gen X/Y geek who's been so burned by every IP you've ever loved that you're not sure it's possible to even feel anything anymore,
meanwhile the TL is going up in flames
I’ve seen enough. Repeal the 19th.
Anakin is indeed the worst looser possible to emulate.
Some people on this app say he just wanted a family. In reality, he ignored his family for power, as a pawn of Darth Sidious.
Dude got played. Don’t be a loser like Anakin. Go home to your family.
He choked his own wife half to death, and she gave birth and died from emotional trauma.
Anakin wanted power and was denied for years. Was super emotional, emo, and violent, and then still didn’t get what he wanted. Directly killed Jedi children with his saber, personally. Not by a bomb or something. He cut the children down himself,
Billions died once he was kind of in power, and he supported it.
Absolutely terrible leader. Never once thought about his people in the galaxy. Almost comically bad.
Like, the show Andor imagines senior Empire people who care about their jobs. But Vader? He just wants to dominate.
Imagine thinking of him as an ideal leader.

The right-wing Anakin posting is not a case of right-wing guys having poor cultural literacy or misunderstanding the subject matter, deliberately or otherwise. This is very much the text of the prequels, intended by George Lucas and correctly interpreted by these posters.
The Republic and the Jedi aren't noble organizations brought down from without by treachery; the story is as much about the self-engineered fall of the Jedi as it is about Anakin's fall.
The "Clone Wars" TV show, which expands on the themes of the prequels and adds more detail, and was created by Lucas protege Dave Filoni with Lucas's input, is extremely critical of both the Jedi and the Republic and often very sympathetic to Anakin's way of doing things, even when or perhaps especially when it conflicts with Jedi protocol, despite knowing where all this is leading.
One major arc of the "Clone Wars" is about Obi-Wan's affair with Duchess Satine of Mandalore, who gets murdered in front of him, substantially because Obi-Wan refused to abandon his Jedi orthodoxy to be with her and to save her, suffering the exact fate Anakin betrays the Jedi to try to avoid.
Anakin's padawan, Ahsoka, recognizes that both the Jedi path and the Sith way lead to doom and quits the Jedi order after she is falsely accused of a crime by the myopic Jedi Council, who are preoccupied with nonsense as Palpatine prepares Order 66 under their noses.
There is actually a series of "Clone Wars" episodes about a clone trooper who starts investigating what is being done to clones after his friend dies from an inhibitor chip malfunction. The trooper uncovers the entire Order 66 conspiracy, and delivers the evidence to the Jedi, and they promptly turn him over to Palpatine.
Everyone's finally realizing that the Jedi were evil in 2026 but I figured it out in 2005 when I watched ROTS and walked out thinking Anakin was right
Anakin 'turned evil' because he:
-loved his mom
-loved his wife
-was stronger than the whole Council
-noticed the system was corrupt and broken
The Jedi knew he was the Chosen One and still wouldn't make him a Master, because he was better than them
The Jedi: 'We can't punish the Sand People, Anakin. With midichlorian counts that low, they didn't know what they were doing.'
Anakin: 'Then I'll take care of it myself.'
And the Empire? It ended the war, kept order, and ran on merit instead of a Council that took 1,000 years to do nothing
He did nothing wrong
He just did what the Council was too weak to do
Order 66 wasn't a betrayal. It was a performance review
Long live the Empire

"He brought peace, justice, and security to the galaxy is what he did. He was a great Tattooinian podracer. And in this house Anakin Skywalker is a hero. End of story."

"Let people enjoy things" is a lie and always was.
We have learned what the libtards always knew and did, which is why their cultural artifacts have lived inside our brains/hearts/souls for 100 solid years:
"FORCE people to enjoy YOUR things, and then PAY you for the privilege."

The children that were taken from their families to be groomed by the Jedi Temple to be trained in the mystic arts of light saber dueling and the force?
The same children that were taught to deny all attachment and to meditate their lives away?
The same children that were armed and trained to use specialty weapons?
Those children?
Where have we seen this before?

Half the reason motorcycles are 100% a necessity now in modern warfare is simply the fact that one drone can't take out 7 bikes at once.
Doesn't really matter how much armor you put on it... A shaped charge drone will take out your IFV

The bootleg Chinese translation of "the Presbyterian Church" for "the Jedi Council" was actually deeply knowledgeable in a way most westerners aren't resulting in a two level joke
There's the silly sounding translation but also the literal meaning of "presbyter" is "elder" and the Jedi are clearly a religious order ruled by elders
An outsider noticed what Lucas put in the prequels that took us decades to specifically note as an unintentionally revealing portrayal - Anakin as an able young man kept down by a gerontocracy
“Tell me, do you bleed?”
“You will.”
If you're following the Anakin dialogue, you now can understand the point that Zack Snyder was trying to make with Superman back in 2016.
Our postmodern suspicion of power keeps us from celebrating the virtuous Superman.
When he comes, our culture rejects and crucifies him.
But power abhors a vacuum.
A culture that does not celebrate the virtuous, heroic Superman ends up with the ruthless "Ubermensch" instead.
