RIP Donnie Iris, the Pittsburgh music legend behind "Ah! Leah!," has died, according to a former bandmate on Monday. He was 83.
On September 28, 2026, he gave his final performance in his hometown of Pittsburgh and subsequently announced his retirement on October 9th due to health issues.

The NBA was terrible in the late 70’s before he showed up, and now 6 years after he passed away it’s back in the toilet. In between was as good as it’s ever been. I’m not sure David Stern gets enough credit. The league misses his leadership today.
