This is the true Hollywood landscape. A person, studio, or brand becomes the target of collective outrage, and suddenly everyone acts like theyโve always hated them.
The unfortunate reality is a few years ago or a few months from now those same people will be singing their praises.
And we wonder why so many people say Hollywood is hypocritical.

My favourite Super Hero is Superman.
The best to ever do it is Christopher Reeve. He was the personification of the Man of Steel and Clark Kent.

Halloween Movie Franchise ranked BEST to WORST by: @TotalFilm!
Do you agree? Or disagree with their ranking?
Heโs more versatile than people give him credit for (see his pre-2017 work), but apparently he bought into his own RAGNAROK hype and got stuck.

Hereโs a story for you. We started filming without owning the title and had to do alternates.
Taft Broadcasting owned the title Ghostbusters as part of their half-hour sitcom starring Larry Storch and Forrest Tucker (F-Troop) and a gorilla chasing ghosts. I had never heard of it. They didnโt have proton packs or Bill Murray. Columbia paid $500,000 to buy the name, but they really should have paid Dean Martin, from whom I first heard the term.
In the film Scared Stiff (1953), he and Jerry Lewis (check out his acrobatic stair descent) are in an old haunted castle, and Lizabeth Scott asks Dean: โWho are you guys?โ And Dean answers: โYouโve heard of Trustbusters and Gangbusters, weโre Ghostbusters!โ
For my research writing the first movie, I watched every single โghostโ comedy ever made. Bowery Boys, Hope and Crosby, Abbot and Costello, Martin and Lewis all did such films.
Happy Halloween 2026.
