Mathematicians play ⭕️ & ⭐️s (circles & stars) to practice repeated addition & skip counting as they are introduced to multiplication. 😄👍 Grab some 🎲 🎲 & play at home!
🗺 Map makers design a perfect park. Directions are included to help get to different parts of the park. Check out the symbols (in the key & in the maps).🤩
☺️ So proud of my engineers! They were very successful w/ their designs to slow/stop erosion. Wire netting helps prevent rocky cliff sides from eroding into the road! Seawalls do slow erosion!🌊🏠 Grass & rocks help soil being eroded away from down spouts!
Check it out! 👀 The engineers’ designs were a success! The plants & sea wall slowed/prevented erosion! 😀
Engineers record the details of the erosion models they created with labeled sciagrams: How will plants or a sea wall slow/prevent erosion?
😍Check out these incredible book recommendations! Authors use persuasive writing to convince friends they need to read these books! 😁💗📚
Have you been wondering about our 🌽?😄 Here’s an update. We harvested! Unfortunately, it was not pollinated, but still awesome to observe! 🤩🔍
🏓 Welcome to Room 9’s MYB Pickleball Club! We had so much fun learning how to “dink” & working on ball control.
Engineers create models to show erosion. What will their designs look like to slow/prevent wind/water erosion? 🤓 💭
Scientists, through research & observations, collect evidence of wind 🌬 & water 💧erosion. Then, in teams, discuss/plan possible solutions.
🤓 Scientists compare solutions designed to slow/prevent water from changing the shape of the land. Some decided to use materials to “deflect” the 💧 like leaves of plants might deflect 🌧.
Besides oceans, lakes, rivers (liquid form)…Where else is water found on Earth? ❄️🧊 Glaciers! (solid) Geologists researched & used models to show how glaciers change the land slowly. As the glaciers melted, we had many noticings 👀&wonderings: Do glaciers create rivers? lakes?
Geologists discover, discuss & record ways water 🌧 can change the land. Their models show creations of canyons and more! 🤓
We’re investigating Earth events that can occur quickly (🌋)or slowly. Geologists use a model to speed up time as they show one way🏔 are formed.
