Introducing Arete-27B: Qwen3.8-27B, post-trained to reinforce Western values.
Chinese open models are currently the strongest available, but they ship with state-aligned behavior in the weights. We built an 803-prompt eval across seven value categories, including freedom of expression, democracy, and privacy, and measured how often a model adopts China’s party line.
After fine-tuning on roughly 53 million tokens, Arete-27B's propaganda rate fell from 22% to 1%, in line with the Western models we tested. Its Hermes Bench score shows no significant performance tradeoffs.
The values in an open model are one fine-tune away.
Our eval, weights, and training data are available now along with the full blog post: nousresearch.com/arete

i paid @blknoiz06 ~100k to push $MOTHER
was a big debate back then.
One of crypto's largest KOLs has been secretly extracting millions from his audience
We’ll expose him soon
Unfortunately, he’s just a symptom of a much bigger problem
Social trading has brought out the worst in KOLs. It was designed to keep them honest by making every trade public. In reality, the opposite happened
In just a few weeks, we exposed a number of "top social traders" using the same tricks:
• Public wallets to attract copy traders
• Side wallets to dump
• Callouts to farm rewards
• Bundled tokens to hide supply
And there are plenty more doing the exact same thing
Why? Because our industry incentivizes it
1) Launchpads allow it
Most launchpads today are obsessed with one thing: volume. Millions in callout rewards, affiliate links, and top leaderboards. Almost nothing on detecting bundles, side wallets, or shady traders. Scams drive volume. Launchpads have no reason to stop it (other than actually caring about their users)
2) Social trading incentivizes it
Side wallets have become a business model. Before social trading, only big KOLs could do it. Now, anyone who lands on a leaderboard can monetize by dumping on their copy-traders. The temptation is real
3) CT normalizes bundle culture
“Everyone bundles. It's how it's done" - an excuse we hear every time we expose a KOL. Supply control isn't the problem. Hiding it is. If it's so bullish, why hide it? Spoiler: because you're planning to sell
***
Launchpads are paying millions to dishonest KOLs. It's time they start taking it seriously
Audit the top traders. Expose their side wallets. Ban repeat offenders
We have the tools. What's missing is the willingness to use them
No one's coming to save us

Hear me out… a local Hermes’ agent utilizing the cloud subscription from @NousResearch … utilizing physical ai robotics.
Your power goes out, oh shit my Homelab needs rebooting to get my Hermes’ agent back online…. Ok so your Hermes’ never dies because he leverages the cloud gateway and activates its physical brain in the robot and fixes your home server power issues and then your local Hermes’ is back online.
My Hermes agent has now migrated every agent I used prior, including all my grok bots and their groups they had together.
Hail Hermes
Hail @NousResearch
I can’t find a reason to pay for subscriptions on grok or ChatGPT anymore when @NousResearch is bridging the gap for what I used them for 😭😭 bout to be a one man band
bro dropped $5,000 on a domain.
poteto.com
Installed @omarchy on the brain of my home lab so my agents can streamline to my network while making my @NousResearch Hermes agent the integrated agent on omarchy
You are vulnerable, but GrapheneOS will KILL ITSELF preemptively to stop hackers from accessing their Forum.
With the recent php2shell incident, the GOS team took the safest way possible to protect the users. They didn't take any chances when the PHP security team published a warning, they had 3 options:
1. Run their forum and cross fingers that the vulnerability will not be exploited before the patch is shipped.
2. Try to patch it on their own with duct tape and dreams.
3. SHUT OFF the service and remove the attack surface.
They chose the safest option.
For such a non-essential service like a forum, the 3rd option seems like overkill. But the GOS team has always highlighted the importance of security update frequency. Because of advances in AI and hackers' ability to create malicious code in hours to exploit the most recently discovered vulnerabilities, speed is important.
That's why they don't support devices and apps that don't ship security updates as frequently as possible.
Attackers won't wait for you to patch.
Improve your OpSec before it's too late.

Our discussion forum is the only software we have using PHP. We've taken it down temporarily while waiting for the patches for php.net/archive/2026.php#202… due to vulnerability details already being available and proof of concept exploits being developed. Don't want to take the risk.
