This week's listening, lot of stuff from the Bill Orcutt universe somehow. Need to listen to more Yo La Tengo

Obviously listen to the album first if you haven't yet, but this Wendy Eisenberg EP extending two of the songs off it is fucking great imho wendyeisenberg.bandcamp.com/…

Read this tweet and ask yourself if you think this guy genuinely believes any of what he's saying here
Are the Green Party organising riots? I’m very concerned by the language from a political party. First antisemitism, now this.

This has to be a troll right
AI generated music is 1000x better than real music. Today I canceled Spotify and SiriusXM because I finally tested Suno. What sold me was the first prompt I gave it: “My favorite artists are A Day to Remember, Bring Me The Horizon, Spiritbox, Bad Omens, and Sleep Token. Analyze all their hits and generate a song I’m likely to love based on those artists.” It one shots an absolute banger in 10 seconds. I'll link the song in the next tweet for anyone curious. Why would I ever go back to Spotify/SiriusXM when I can generate music perfectly tailored to my taste on command, for free? Not affiliated with Suno in any way btw, it was just one of those moments where I was so impressed with AI’s capability I had to say something about it.

Don't know anything about this person's circumstances and don't want to speculate, but I will say that tweeting when you feel like it and being able to serve the inflexible demands of a paid job are two very different things

At my last job there were a few people whose health conditions were such that they could work without issue a lot of the time but would inevitably be off sick a lot, and they would just constantly get dragged through the rigid sickness absence disciplinary process

Very funny to bring back Nick pissing Clegg's Alarm Clock Britain slogan from 15 years ago to try and present yourself as the party of hard grafters, and to do it to an audience of almost exclusively retirees
Reform UK will always stand up for alarm clock Britain.

Good to see creatives fighting back against AI by lovingly crafting their own unbelievably stupid clumsy mashup superhero shite for children
First look at the start of the MARVEL X STAR WARS crossover comic series. Written by Kevin Smith with art by David Marquez.

This week's listening. Somehow queued the Cameron Winter live album directly after Meth Drinker, and I think that's the ideal way to experience it

46 years old man. My midlife crisis seems to have taken the form of accumulating band shirts which I guess is one of the least bad middle aged compulsions

Did treat myself to an early birthday present this week in the form of a relatively cheap Stratocaster, it's very good but every time I look at it I think of 'Bad Review' by Half Man Half Biscuit

Hi I'm a British leftist in my 20s and my only experience of politics is watching people who think the same things as me try to placate the establishment and get roundly shat on for their efforts. Anyway here's why the Greens should apologise for saying something I think is true
