Earlier today, the Jax Finance Committee voted on issuing a subpoena. We did this because City execs have fought testifying in the past, and we wanted to reserve our ability to do so with Nat Ford.
Fortunately, that won’t be necessary, as we are discussing with Nat a good time to receive his voluntarily testimony. I take him at his word, as he has never failed to appear and answer our inquiries in the past.
Today, the Jax Council Finance Committee issued a subpoena for Nat Ford to testify this Friday about the crisis at JTA.
I hope this is voluntary testimony focused on what went wrong at JTA.
We can enforce this subpoena in any state, so let’s get this done.
JHA CEO Cheron Corbett Waller needs to resign.
Her job is get struggling families in Jax housing.
She makes $300,000 a year.
She just tried to get the JHA Board to give her PERSONALLY a 12% cut of developer fees for JHA projects.
This is nuts. Corruption. Resign.

She caught Jacksonville’s Transit Agency, JTA, sending taxpayer money to a group run by its own board vice chair. That same week, Mayor Deegan filed to kick her off the board. Now Florida’s Attorney General has opened a criminal investigation into the agency.

If you want to know why America is polarized, it’s the fault of the media.
Yesterday, the Free Beacon, a conservative outlet, caught Abdul Sayed in a lie when Abdul denied his family had a connection to the Muslim Brotherhood. The FB showed a tweet by his own sister saying their mother belonged to the MB.
The revelation that Abdul lied about his family ties to a radical Islamic terrorist group was ignored by NBC, ABC, CBS’s nightly news shows. The NYT and WP haven’t covered it.
This should be a screaming front page story. Instead, the MSM runs cover for Abdul.
The American people just want to know the truth about their politicians. Instead, the media are helping Abdul cover up the truth.
Abdul has a lot to hide. It’s a tragedy the MSM is part of the team helping him hide it.

Breaking: The College Football Playoff is nearing a deal to expand to 24 teams, sources tell @PeteThamel.
The new format will start in 2027 and is expected to come together in the near future, pending final approvals.
What a surprise.
And, to be clear, the feckless Republicans on city council will give it to them.

At JTA oversight hearing.
Council Auditors testify they told JTA in 2024 their projections on sales tax were $11,424,876 off.
Auditors say JTA got MAD at them. Insisted on using their numbers.
Why would JTA budget people fight for numbers they knew were wrong?
