Some huge news this morning.
GPs will soon be able to diagnose ADHD and resupply ADHD medication.
This means no more paying thousands or waiting months (or even years) to get into specialists.

MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS
It was great to chat to Ivan Cleary & @RoseBJackson as the @PenrithPanthers premiership winning coach & NSW govt team up to tackle the state’s worsening men’s mental health crisis.

Our future shouldn’t be dictated by tech billionaires.
Young people constantly share with me how algorithms and social media affect their mental health.
Big win.
The NSW Labor Govt. has just banned no grounds evictions for residential tenancies.
This is huge step forward to make our rental laws fair for the millions of renters in our state.
Different political backgrounds, same political passion: housing.
Good to catch up with New Zealand Housing Minister on our shared determination to make housing more affordable.
NSW Libs take note: action on housing can be bi-partisan 🤝
In Sydney for a couple of days on way back from Paris. Good day of meetings at Infrastructure Australia, School Infrastructure NSW, Health Infrastructure NSW and talking housing/planning reform with @RoseBJackson
I joined the ALP in 2003 and the first person I ever campaigned for was Linda Burney. And I have never stopped. She is so warm, so real, so classy.
She has just done so much as a leader in this country and for our state. She deserves every praise that will be heaped upon her as she retires from politics, and I can’t wait to see what’s next. I know she will continue to serve others in some way.
Love you Linda ❤️

Families struggling to afford a place to live will be able to move into permanent modular homes as soon as next year as part of a government trial. The premier is convinced these homes are the way forward to help ease the housing shortage. 7NEWS.com.au #7NEWS

We need to pull out all the stops to build more homes in NSW.
Our plan involves utilising the untapped potential of unused government land across the state to build homes.
There are some great locations on the list, too.

It’s NSW Budget Day! But don’t be bored, I'm incredibly proud of this one.
Today we're announcing the Building Homes for NSW Program - the largest ever public housing investment in NSW Government history.
This is once in a generation opportunity that will re-build our public housing after a decade of neglect and deliver 30,000 homes to confront the housing crisis.
The $6.6 Billion Building Homes Program will:
- Build 8400 new public homes - half of these homes will be dedicated to women and families experiencing domestic violence.
- Fix 33,500 public homes in desperate need of repair - the biggest investment in public housing maintenance ever.
- Deliver over 21,000 affordable and market homes across our state.
- Deliver a record investment in homelessness services of over half a billion dollars and properly fund crisis accommodation all while building the homes we need to tackle long-term homelessness.
- Build affordable rentals for key workers - so they can live in the communities that rely on them.
- Undertake the biggest planning reforms in a generation - building homes around existing infrastructure.
We know we’ve got a huge job ahead of us - it won’t be easy but our state has faced challenges like this before and Labor has the energy, spirit and new ideas to get this done.
We want to fix the housing system and create one that is fair and affordable for everyone.
One that provides dignity to people living in public housing, homes for women escaping violence, places for key workers to live in their communities, and affordable homes for all.
This is only the beginning - but brick by brick, house by house, street by street we’re building a housing system we can be truly proud of and a better NSW for all.

Building homes near transport is a no brainer.
Turns out the opposition is limited in the brains department 🤷🏻♀️
The Opposition are trying to kill the TOD SEPP, because they think appealing to a few north shore NIMBYs is more important to their electability than putting a roof over your head.
We need you to email your upper house reps to show them that’s wrong: supporthousingcode.good.do/t…
2024 Street count results out today. While we’ve seen metro Sydney street sleeping stabilise we’ve seen huge surges in homelessness in our regions.
So what are we doing to support our homeless community:
- Reforming short term rental rules and exploring all options like levies and planning changes
- Investing in modular housing - fast, good quality and reliable
- Rebuilding our public housing system after decades of neglect
- Exploring converting unused sites into crisis accommodation
- Removing caps on temporary accommodation so more people aren’t forced to street sleep
These are just some of the things we are doing and I know there is a lot more to do.
But our Government fundamentally believes housing is a human right and no one should have to sleep on the streets.
