I'm checking this site less and less often. I am active on bsky though: bsky.app/profile/rosmo.bsky.… It feels like the right time to leave.

Running the Yocto image on the open-source PiMX8 module. The Piunora is a nice compact CM4 baseboard, quite handy for testing.

I’m finding it very difficult to muster an argument against this.

We gave a robot body to a GPT-4o AI agent. Here serving a glass from a human to another🍹 With only: • 30mn of arm demonstrations • A language prompt to guide it You can also teach it to clean, play, check in on you. What would you teach it? with @Vignesh_Robots

Hey OpenAI WHAT THE HELL Why is ChatGPT accessing user's location without permission and then blatantly lying to them about it?

I've been working on a new @adafruit feather compatible board featuring a dual core Cortex-A7, 128MB DDR3 and 512MB~4GB embedded SD card flash. I've also added an @EspressifSystem ESP32-C3/C6 mini module for Wi-Fi. Placement is roughly done, on to routing!

Finally got it working with ros! Still abit janky though. I disabled the back wheel encoders and turned off a bunch of unnecessary stuff from the linorobot project

Sodium? How are we going to get enough? We’d need like an ocean of that stuff to store all the Sun’s energy.
If God wanted us to build Type 1 Civilization, he would have: 1. put a giant fusion reactor in the sky (emitting blackbody radiation around 5800 K) 2. made 28% of Earth's crust out of a semiconductor with a matching bandgap (~1.1 eV or so) 3. filled the oceans with an alkali metal we could use to store limitless quantities of energy (sodium or something similar) That would be a crazy coincidence...
