♻️Did you know that aggregates (sand, gravel, crushed stone) are the second most consumed natural resource on Earth, right after water? Their role in our daily lives is massive. Every European citizen indirectly uses 6–10 tonnes of aggregates per year— in housing, roads, railways, energy infrastructure and public works.🖥️🛣️🚈 In fact, most things around us are either grown or extracted. Construction, glass, ceramics, steel, renewables, transport and digital technologies all depend on aggregates and minerals.🧵 #mining #Sustainability #rawmaterials #sand #HorizonEurope #GreenIndustry #EUprojects @EU_Commission | @EU_Hadea | @weirgroup | @NTNU |@arenesbellpuig | @ChangeoverLtd
