North Carolina A&T students marched an hour each way to vote on the first day of early voting after their campus polling site was removed by the Guilford County Elections Board. Proud 👏🏽

Trying to understand Sec. of War Hegseth. He said just now on drones: "...it tooken us a few too long bit to get there, but not in this administraiton. From day 1 we saw it, iterated to operationalize it before we put a command on top of it and now we're institutionalizing it."
So pumped to be in Spokane for a talk about WARDS OF THE STATE this Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7pm. I'll be interviewed live by @SpokesmanReview to share what I learned about foster care, an invisible system with extremely visible (and damaging) outcomes. We can do better. C'mon out!

Very sorry to see this, Tess. It's just so wrong. You make an impression everywhere you go, and I have no doubt you'll land in your feet. Hmu if I can help.

If only there was some benevolent being that could save us. But there is only us.
Offensive fabulist.
Trump claims he was basically lifted out of the rubble on 9/11: "Two fireman, big strong guys, they grabbed me under the arms -- 'got to get our of here!' -- and they literally lifted me up, and they started running with me."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Trump was miles from Ground Zero on 9/11, speaking by phone from his office. He visited the area days later. His story of being lifted from the rubble by firefighters first appeared in 2021 and lacks corroborating evidence. politifact.com/factchecks/202… usatoday.com/story/news/fac… newsweek.com/fact-check-did…

I'm sorry we never got a chance to meet, but getting this note from Dolly really had a an impact on me. She definitely didn't have to take the time to do it. Even for a kid who mostly listened to rap music, she was an icon. A superstar in every sense. Rest easy Dolly. And thank you for the kind words.

Why in the world would he ask the Times for comment??? This is not a reported piece. He's explaining why he quit. He provided management's explanation for why they spiked his column. What more do you want?
