Optimal conditions and wind have caused rapid westward spread of #tarspot. The first two images are of August 2025 and August 2026. The last two images are from September 2025 and September 2026. More winds from the East in both months during 2026 at Lexington. #ScoutNebraska

That is farther west than anything we have found before. Before harvest check fields for Tar Spot pressure. Western NE growers may need to be prepared to select more tolerant/resistant hybrids in the near future. Irrigated acres are going to be at highest risk. #scoutnebraska
