Don’t forget to set your clocks forward one hour tonight as we spring forward into daylight savings time. It’s also a great time to inspect batteries in your smoke alarms and check for any vehicle recalls.

We regretfully announce the cancellation of the 2022 Santa Clarita Marathon presented by Parkway Motorcars. The cancellation is due to public safety concerns - including the shortage of ambulances, delayed response times and the rising number of Covid-19 cases.

All registered runners will be issued a full refund to their original form of payment. The Santa Clarita Marathon, originally scheduled for February 12, would have celebrated its 25th anniversary this year.

“The moon was still up over the River Village Park Trail this morning. I love getting out early to see the sky during the sunrise, and this trail is perfect because it’s tucked away from the street. Calm, peaceful. And, the park itself is part of the Marathon course!” -Kevin

“I didn’t anticipate how hard it would be to stop halfway through and try to talk when it’s 35 degrees outside. 3 miles down!” Here’s a pic of the sunrise over Canyon Country 😎

“This week’s run was 2 miles to help me get my base back up before the 10K. My last big race was in 2015! The plan is to tack on an additional mile each week until I get to 6.2, then work on pacing for race day.” -Kevin
