Art comes so natural to Pigment R4! We just let it crystalize and look at these sculptures and elaborated paintings on the vial's walls! I really enjoyed this fun project with @Mat_Heeney and Daniel! pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021…

According to this excerpt from an actual job ad, asst/assoc professors occasionally bend/stoop/twist, they occasionally walk, and perhaps more importantly, they occasionally kneel and squat. At least they are not required to twerk.

It was such a pleasure to host @migarciagaribay at SMU! Very dynamic talk on dynamic crystals!

It was such a pleasure having @KM_Hutchins visit us!
Thanks to @RuncevskiLab for hosting me @SMU_Chemistry yesterday! I had a fantastic time and the @SMU campus is beautiful!

New preprint out! We may be a small group, but we are not afraid to take on projects different from our background. We went from studying solids to deep eutectic solvents. This project does converge with our long-term goals and there will be a followup :) chemrxiv.org/engage/chemrxiv…

This is so pretty I had to share it! This is one of our newly discovered broad-spectrum antibiotic glasses, which we have "vitrified" at ambient conditions. Can't wait to get the paper out so I can tell you more about the research behind. @ClaireM57073322 @MaxTerban @p021_desy

Weather in the 70s in Dallas made this Christmas staycation super enjoyable. No work. No emails. Empty lab. Reading papers completely out of my field (healthy mix of physics, astro, biology, .etc). Running ~9 miles a day. I can get used to this.

If you attend #ACSFall2021, feel free to stop by on Thursday! Especially if you are space enthusiast. The talk will be on hard-core experimental physical organic chemistry, just disguised as geochemistry.

Since our research group is putting a new fitness supplement on the market (improved formulation of creatine), I have to step up my fitness game. Anyways, glad to be back at the sport and recreation center.

Organic glasses are one of our most recent obsessions. Look at this one! It’s made of an API, but it also has MeOH, so no pharma applications for now. Nonetheless, so pretty!
