ES INHUMANO. DESGARRADOR.

Look no further than the Nano Needle. The researcher at Ron's lab who invented it spent years working on it, came up with a diagnosic test that was super accurate, actaully highly *unlikely* *not* to work, was so cheap to manufacture we could have had it in every lab around the world and thus could have diagnosed every single ME/CFS patient worldwide in a short time. It was brilliant. And NIH would not fund it for baffling (or disgusting) reasons and it kind of ruined his career. He's now at another university trying to start over when he should be famous for changing the world. Anyone else want to sign up for a field of research like that? Any takers? You get kicked to the curb for a brilliant invention that would completely change the world and save millions of lives. 🤦😨🤬
That the best and brightest minds of our generation are not jumping all over MECFS and trying to figure this out baffles me. It is the ultimate biochemical puzzle.

“He was a doctor who ran marathons. Now, walking to the bathroom is harder than any marathon he ever ran. In this grade of severity ME is only invisible if people purposefully look away.” Evelien van den Brink calling for biomedical #MECFS research in European Parliament in 2019

To everyone who thinks…. people with #MECFS or #LongCovid are exagerating, are being dramatic, are fighting and being agressive about getting help and support. Imagine your spouse, your child, your parent, your best friend or someone else that is very close to you or yourself, is suddenly so sick that they cannot walk, talk, bear light or sound and deteriorate over months and years with no help. How would you see it then??? Are so many people not able to reflect? Not able to empathize? Not able to show compassion? Is life just about „survival of the fittest“? Is society about ignoring chronically ill people and treating them as outcasts? Neglecting people with ME and LC and actively refusing to learn about the most current guidelines of how to diagnose and offer treatment to reduce and manage symptoms, is the biggest medical scandal.

Brain Pressure in Long COVID Do you ever feel like there is pressure deep inside your brain? Not necessarily a headache, but a fullness or heaviness or pressure sensation, often concentrated in the back of your head? I hear this repeatedly from patients. 🧵
